HERE IS THE ITEM I PROMISED YOU THAT SHE WOULD SEND. I AM WRITING THIS ON THE SCRIPT ITSELF TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT SOME OF THE CODES MEAN. EXT = EXTERIOR; INT = INTERIOR; V.O. = VOICE OVER; O.S. = OFF SCREEN; AND O.C. = OFF CAMERA. I AM NOT EXACTLY SURE WHAT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OFF SCREEN AND OFF CAMERA IS. ANYWAY, YOU CAN ERASE THIS PARAGRAPH IF YOU WANT A CLEAN COPY OF THE SCRIPT. I JUST THOUGHT YOU OUGHT TO KNOW SOME OF THESE CODES AS I FOUND THEM CONFUSING AT FIRST.

FADE IN:

EXT. Looking up at the starry sky - NIght

We see a star that is slowly moving across a background of unmoving stars, perhaps like a satellite. Then it starts heading toward us and appears to brighten.

ROLL CREDITS

CUT TO:

EXT. outer space - cONTINUOUS

We are behind the bright light now and see that it is heading toward Earth. We watch as it slowly descends into Earth's atmosphere.

CUT TO:

EXT. a two-lane desert highway - dAY

A charter bus is moving down the highway. It slows and turns onto a lesser-paved road. The bus continues and finally arrives at it destination, a dead end at a modern-looking visitors' center. The bus door opens and the PASSENGERS (mostly young women) exit and approach a FEMALE PARK RANGER who is waiting for them. She is wearing a name badge that says "Donna." Behind her we see the entrance to the center and parked out in front, behind a roped-off area, is Nancy Archer's convertible.

END CREDITS

Donna

(in a mechanical and wooden way like she has done this a thousand times)

Hello! And welcome to the Nancy Cobb Archer Visitors Center and Historic Landmark. I'm Donna. Since it opened, this center has entertained and enlightened over 200,000 people such as yourselves,

(pointing to everyone)

who have come here to better understand the life of one special woman. Step this way, won't you?

Donna turns and heads into the center, beckoning the others to join her. They all follow her into the center.

CUT TO:

INT. a darkened theater with movie screen - cONTINUOUS

Everyone takes a seat and Donna stands in front of the room. On the wall is a night photograph from low-angle of a gigantic Nancy Archer standing near some high-tension wires. A spotlight shines on Donna.

Donna

Everybody comfy? Good. Please remain seated at all times during the presentation. Keep your hands on the armrests and your feet flat on the floor in front of you.

We see the audience getting ready by following her instructions.

DONNA

If you experience dizziness at any time during the presentation, simply look away from the screen. And please, no flash photography during the presentation. It's annoying and a complete waist of film, okay? Everybody set?

Donna gives a big smiling wave to the projectionist. The spotlight goes out and the film begins. We see the leader of the film count down, BEEP, and begin.

On film we see DR. LOEB, a very nerdish professor in a tweed jacket with elbow patches, a matching vest, bow tie, and a pipe. He is seated at a desk and there are science books and a microscope in a bookcase behind him. In the room are various medical and scientific instruments.

Dr. Loeb

How do you do. My name is Doctor Victor Loeb. In this modern supersonic age, it sometimes seems that we have lost out capacity to be amazed.

He stands and comes around to the front of his desk.

DR. LOEB (CONT'D)

Science has made the miraculous commonplace and we have become smug in our dominion over nature herself.

He walks over to stand next to a medical supply case.

DR. LOEB (CONT'D)

But I am well aware that there are also among you the morbidly curious, who have been attracted by the more provocative and, let's not mince words, lurid aspects of this case. Well, you will not be disappointed. For this is, I must warn you, a shocking story. But it is a story that must be told. So now prepare your minds for a new scale of experience. And remember, everything you are about to see is absolutely true.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. a TWO-LANE DESERT HIGHWAY - dAY

We see NANCY ARCHER driving the convertible that was in the background at the visitor’s center. She is a tall blonde, busty and leggy; not too bright. She completely conforms to the stereotype of a "trophy wife." She is wearing a pendant that displays a monstrously huge 30-caret diamond. On her finger we see a simple gold band wedding ring. Her blonde hair blows freely in the wind as she drives.

Nancy archer (V.O.)

My story begins on a day not so different from any other. I suppose it could have happened anytime to any woman. Looking back now, I realize most my days were smothered in routine; safe, predictable routine that felt so much like a life. Well, all that was about to change.

Nancy picks up a car radiophone and presses out a number while she drives. It rings.

Sylvia (O.S.)

Cobb enterprises.

NANCY ARCHER

Sylvia?

SYLVIA (O.S.)

Yes.

NANCY ARCHER

It's Mrs. Archer.

SYLVIA (O.S.)

Oh, hi!

NANCY ARCHER

I'm just calling to confirm dinner with my father.

SYLVIA (O.S.)

Yes, he has it on his calendar, Mrs. Archer, and I reminded him when he left to meet with the mayor.

NANCY ARCHER

Good. Can I speak with my husband, please?

SYLVIA (O.S.)

(hesitantly)

Ah...he's...ah..I'm afraid he's not in the office.

NANCY ARCHER

(confused)

Oh?

sYLVIA (O.S.)

I believe he mentioned a meeting...ah...a meeting out of the office.

NANCY ARCHER

Do you know when he'll be back?

SYLVIA (O.S.)

(with some compassion)

I don't know Mrs. Archer, he just said that he had a meeting....somewhere.

NANCY ARCHER

Thanks.

SYLVIA (O.S.)

You're welcome, Mrs. Archer.

NANCY ARCHER

Bye.

SYLVIA (O.S.)

Bye.

Nancy hangs up the phone and drives on, a bit confused.

CUT TO:

EXT. Main road through town - cONTINUOUS

It is a sleepy little desert town with about a mile-long main drag. Hardly anyone is on the streets. One who is, is MR. INGERSOL, a paunchy, middle-aged shop-keeper who is putting up a small banner on the side of his store that says, RELOCATING SOON TO `COBB ANTRIUM,' ANOTHER `COBB ENTERPRISES' DEVELOPMENT. Nancy drives up to his shop, parks, exits her car and approaches him. He sees her and smiles.

Mr. ingersol

Oh, hello Nancy.

NANCY ARCHER

(smiling)

Good morning, Mr. Ingersol. How are you?

MR. INGERSOL

Fine. Yourself?

NANCY ARCHER

Fine thanks.

MR. INGERSOL

Good.

Nancy stops in front of the banner and looks it over.

MR. INGERSOL (CONT'D)

(gesturing to the banner)

Well, what do you think?

NANCY ARCHER

It's not going to feel the same coming into town and not seeing your shop.

MR. INGERSOL

Progress, Nancy. Not much one man can do to stop it. Well, I figure it's best for business. At least that's the way your father explains it.

NANCY ARCHER

(with resignation)

Yes, well, my father's good at explaining things.

MR. INGERSOL

(noticing her huge diamond)

I don't know what shines brighter, you or that pendant. I remember making it for your mother. I'm glad to see you wearing it, she'd be so pleased to see it around your neck.

NANCY ARCHER

(a bit self-consciously)

Thank you.

MR. INGERSOL

Well, I'd better get back to the till.

NANCY ARCHER

Bye, Mr. Ingersol.

MR. INGERSOL

Bye, Nancy.

Nancy smiles to him as he leaves, but her smile turns to concern as she once again looks at the banner. Nancy turns away and walks slowly, crossing the main street to the other side.

NANCY ARCHER (V.O.)

I think I've got a pretty good handle on most of the things in my life. I know that there are certain areas where I'm having problems, I admit that, but I'm working on them and things can change.

Nancy walks up to a door. On the door is a sign that says, THEODORA CUSHING, Ph.D.

CUT TO:

INT. Dr. Cushing's office - mOMENTS LATER

It is a psychologist's office, wood paneled and nicely furnished in a homey, non-threatening way. Nancy and Dr. Cushing sit in chairs facing each other. There is a slowly turning ceiling fan and wooden blinds mute the light. DR. CUSHING, the psychologist, is an attractive middle-aged woman who wears glasses and dresses professionally.

NANCY ARCHER

When I confronted Harry, he said he would stop; that he'd end the affair.

Dr. cushing

Have there been other affairs?

NANCY ARCHER

This is different. He loves me. He really does. It's not easy being married to the boss' daughter. That's why I have to be patient...Why it is important that I make life easier.

DR. CUSHING

Easier for whom?

NANCY ARCHER

Harry....My father....

DR. CUSHING

What about you?

NANCY ARCHER

What about me?

DR. CUSHING

What about making life easier for yourself?

NANCY ARCHER

(appearing anxious)

I have to go.

DR. CUSHING

The hour isn't up.

NANCY ARCHER

I'm having dinner with my father. He's on a tight schedule and he's expecting me.

Nancy stands up to go and we appreciate how tall she is. She opens her purse to check inside and then clasps it shut pinching her finger. Suddenly her face changes as she cries out and becomes enraged. She turns to hurl her purse, but quickly regains control of herself.

DR. CUSHING

Nancy? Do you ever get angry?

NANCY ARCHER

(cautiously)

Everybody gets angry.

DR. CUSHING

What do you do when you get angry?

Nancy can't bring herself to answer.

CUT TO:

EXT. mAIN ROAD THROUGH TOWN - eVENING

Nancy drives out of town and onto a two-lane desert road. She is thinking about what Dr. Cushing asked.

DR. CUSHING (V.O.)

(in Nancy's thoughts)

Nancy, what do you do when you get angry?

The further Nancy drives, the sadder she becomes. Suddenly, we see a BRIGHT COLORED LIGHT reflecting off of her windshield...but it is only the neon sign to TONY'S SHANGRA-LA, a local motel. Nancy pulls in and parks. She steps from her car and looks at a black Porsche parked next to her. She walks over to it. Realizing whose it is she becomes even more depressed.

DR. CUSHING (V.O.)

(in Nancy's thoughts)

Nancy, what do you do when you get angry?

Nancy looks down and sees some large rocks by the plants that line the motel walks. Impulsively she picks up a large rock requiring two hands to lift. She carries it over to the Porsche and, in a sudden fury, raises the rock over her head ready to smash the car. But just as suddenly, she regains control of herself and takes no action but to set the rock down. Beside herself, she walks over to her own car and becomes desperate.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry! Harry, you promised!

In her desperation she begins to HONK the horn of her car. The MOTEL OPERATOR comes running out of his office and approaches her.

Motel operator

He ain't here, Mrs. Archer.

NANCY ARCHER

(motioning toward the Porsche)

That's his car.

MOTEL OPERATOR

(trying to cover, but knowing she's wise to it)

Maybe he ran out of gas and he left it.

NANCY ARCHEr

(to herself in depressed realization)

He doesn't care who knows.

MOTEL OPERATOR

(annoyed)

Let's call it a night. Go home. Have some coffee, maybe.

NANCY ARCHER

(insulted)

I'm not drunk.

MOTEL OPERATOR

(defensive)

You don't have to be drunk to drink coffee. It's a free country.

NANCY ARCHER

Tell him that!

MOTEL OPERATOR

There is nobody here to tell, honest!

NANCY ARCHER

(getting back into her car)

Please. Tell him.

Nancy drives away.

CUT TO:

INT. motel room - cONTINUOUS - nIGHT

HARRY ARCHER watches out the window as Nancy drives away. He turns to his companion, HONEY PARKER, a busty red-head who is struggling to get her clothes back on and has to clamber about the room to find them all.

HARRY ARCHER

You're not going to let something like this ruin the whole night, are you?

HONEY PARKER

There comes a point in a relationship when you start to realize what your prospects are. Well, we have plateaued at motel room flings, Harry, and that is nowhere good enough for Mrs. Parker's little girl, Honey.

HARRY ARCHER

(casual; munching on some nuts)

You're taking this sort of thing way too personal.

HONEY PARKER

(still dressing)

You bet I do. I have had a long time to figure out women like that...spoiled...rich...I've been painting their fingernails and washing their hair since I was twelve years old.

As honey struggles to put on her stockings she gets a run in one of them.

HONEY PARKER (CONT'D)

Shit!

HARRY ARCHER

Honey.....I..

HONEY PARKER

Why do you put up with it, Harry? Why do you make me put up with it? Just leave. Walk out. She don't deserve you, anyway.

HARRY ARCHER

I'm not leaving until I can take a big slice of old man Cobb's pie with me.

HONEY PARKER

So? Community property, dump her!

HARRY ARCHER

The old man made me sign a prenuptial.

HONEY PARKER

(exasperated)

Jesus!

Harry Comes over and puts his arms around Honey.

HARRY ARCHER

Look, all we have to do is find the right angle and we're set. Every day I go into that office, I find out where a couple of more bodies are buried. Just leave it up to Harry. Harry's got a handle on everything.

Honey softens and kisses Harry.

HONEY PARKER

You know what her problem really is?

HARRY ARCHER

Nancy? Yeah, like you said, she's spoiled and rich.

HONEY PARKER

Her real problem is she actually loves you.

Harry and Honey kiss again and begin to undress each other.

CUT TO:

EXT. The El Monte drive-in theater - nIGHT

A police cruiser is in the parking lot, hiding alongside the main highway to get speeders. DEPUTY CHARLIE SPOONER is returning to the cruiser from the drive-in's food bar carrying food. He gets into the car and joins SHERIFF DENBY who is waiting for him in the driver's seat. The deputy gets in and passes the sheriff some food. Deputy Spooner is a lean and mean looking man in contrast to the sheriff, who is fat and easy-going.

Sheriff denby

(looking at his hot dog)

Is there cheese on this dog?

Deputy spooner

You didn't ask for cheese.

SHERIFF DENBY

I don't ask for cheese, because I always get cheese on my dog.

Suddenly the policemen see Mrs. Archer drive by in her convertible at normal speed.

DEPUTY SPOONER

That's Mrs. Archer.

SHERIFF DENBY

Yeah.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(suspiciously)

I don't see Mr. Archer with her.

SHERIFF DENBY

Nope, not unless she had him in the trunk....Cheese, Charlie.

With a long-suffering look, Charlie exits the car to go get the sheriff some cheese for his hot dog.

CUT TO:

EXT. dirt road cutting through the desert - nIGHT

Nancy Archer drives through the night crying. As she drives she wipes tears from her face. Suddenly, up ahead is a very BRIGHT LIGHT; it looks like the worst high beams imaginable. Nancy squints and tries to see. The light becomes so bright that she can't see. She slams on the breaks and pulls off the road, coming to a stop. Then, mysteriously, the light is gone. She looks ahead of her and behind her. But there is nothing but quiet, dark road. Then a light shines down on her. She looks up and sees that it is clearly a huge flying saucer, hovering. It bathes her in a deep blue light and begins to move into position over her car. Desperately she tries to start the car, but it is dead. A laser-like beam shoots from the underside of the flying saucer and focuses on her diamond pendent. The car vibrates wildly. The RADIO TURNS ON and changes stations haphazardly. Suddenly the laser beam goes off and, in terror, Nancy restarts the car, turns around and drives away. As she races away, she can see the saucer in her rear-view mirror following her. It passes over her car as it flies upward and away.

CUT TO:

EXT. The El Monte drive-in theater - nIGHT

Nancy Archer races past the sheriff and deputy.

DEPUTY SPOONER

It's Mrs. Archer!

SHERIFF DENBY

(handing the deputy his drink)

Hold the malted, Charlie.

The sheriff turns on the cruiser and throws it in gear, hitting the SIREN and racing after her.

CUT TO:

EXT. TONY's SHANGRA-LA Motel - nIGHT

Nancy pulls into the motel fast, and parks.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry! Harry!

She exits her car so fast that she falls onto the parking lot pavement.

CUT TO:

INT. motel room - cONTINUOUS - nIGHT

Harry is in bead humping Honey. They hear Nancy calling Harry's name.

HONEY PARKER

Jesus, this is just so fucking romantic!

She pushes Harry off of her and walks naked into the bathroom, where she slams the door to be alone.

CUT TO:

EXT. TONY's SHANGRA-LA Motel - nIGHT - cONTINUOUS

The police cruiser with SIREN WAILING pulls into the motel parking area. The motel operator runs over to help Nancy to her feet. She is in a panic.

MOTEL OPERATOR

Mrs. Archer! Are you okay?

Nancy is looking up at Harry's room when the light from the cruiser illuminates her. The sheriff and deputy exit the car and approach her and the motel operator.

SHERIFF DENBY

What's the trouble Mrs. Archer?

NANCY ARCHER

It was out there! It touched me! It forced me off the road and then it touched me with a light!

The three men are looking at her as though they are sure that she has been drinking. Deputy Spooner, chewing on a toothpick, grins and evil grin and eyes her up and down. Nancy sees him ogling her but is too upset to get angry.

SHERIFF DENBY

What touched you?

Nancy sees that they think she is drunk or crazy and that there is no point in talking to any of them.

NANCY ARCHER

I want Harry! I want my husband!

DEPUTY SPOONER

(slyly, while leering)

Did somebody out there in the desert try to put his hands on you, Mrs. Archer?

NANCY ARCHER

(still wanting to tell someone)

It was big! And it lit up the sky like a....like a....you've got to believe me. It was there...it was over the highway.

SHERIFF DENBY

Sure, we believe you Mrs. Archer, it's just that.....

(slowly leading Nancy to his car)

Why don't you come on and sit in the squad car and tell us all about it and we'll get you a nice big cup of coffee.

CUT TO:

EXT. mOTEL ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Harry is watching from his motel window as the police lead Nancy away. He hears a GLASS SHATTER in the bathroom and the TOILET FLUSH. Honey comes storming out dressed and ready to leave.

HONEY PARKER

(stopping to put on lip-stick)

A woman has to have a limit. If she don't have a limit, she's screwed from the get-go.

HARRY ARCHER

(smiling and soothing)

You shouldn't let a thing like this get to you. It causes wrinkles.

There is a KNOCK ON THE DOOR.

HONEY PARKER

It's her.

HARRY ARCHER

It's not her.

HONEY PARKER

It is. It's her. It's her with a gun, and an ax, and a bottle of acid.

HARRY ARCHER

(annoyed)

Straighten up the bed, will ya!

HONEY PARKER

Oh, just exactly how stupid do you think people are?

There is another KNOCK AT THE DOOR. Harry quickly buttons up his shirt and tries to make himself look presentable.

DEPUTY SPOONER (O.S.)

Mr. Archer, it's Deputy Spooner.

Harry opens the door to see Deputy Spooner standing there alone. Spooner is chewing his toothpick and looking like the cat that swallowed the canary.

DEPUTY SPOONER (CONT'D)

Evening, Mr. Archer.

HARRY ARCHER

Deputy.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(smirking and looking past Harry)

Hi, Honey.

HONEY PARKER

(disgusted)

Charlie.

HARRY ARCHER

(getting impatient)

Is there something I can do for you, deputy?

DEPUTY SPOONER

(still smirking)

Oh yeah. Well, um...I don't know what you heard, but we had some commotion out there.

(motions to the parking area)

Your wife had some trouble on the road.

HARRY ARCHER

What kind of trouble?

DEPUTY SPOONER

(smirk growing bigger)

Spaceship.

HARRY ARCHER

Spaceship?

DEPUTY SPOONER

Ran her right off the road....at least that's what she said ....Sheriff's taking her back out there to look around. You might want to think about getting home, Mr. Archer, under the circumstances.

HARRY ARCHER

Thanks for the advice.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(smirking)

No charge.

(again, looking past Harry)

Night, Honey.

HONEY PARKER

(very annoyed)

Night, Charlie.

HARRY ARCHER

(emphatically)

Good-night.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Night.

Harry closes the door and turns toward Honey. He looks deep in thought.

HARRY ARCHER

Nancy saw a spaceship....It ran her off the road.

HONEY PARKER

She crazy or somethin'?

HARRY ARCHER

People who see spaceships....These are not the people who you want making important decisions....Decisions about...money. They need help.

HONEY PARKER

(smiling)

You're thinkin' somethin' aren't ya?

HARRY ARCHER

(begins removing his clothes)

I'm thinking that maybe I ought to get home to my poor, unstable wife in her time of need.

Honey jumps into his arms.

HARRY ARCHER (CONT'D)

That's my girl.

Harry carries her over to the bed and tosses her onto it. They laugh and begin to roll around with each other.

CUT TO:

EXT. dIRT ROAD THROUGH THE DESERT - nIGHT

The cruiser has stopped at the place Nancy has shown the sheriff. In the glare of the headlights Nancy inspects the tire tracks in the dirt.

NANCY ARCHER

Here. See? This is where it forced me off the road.

SHERIFF DENBY

I can see the tire marks, Mrs. Archer.

NANCY ARCHER

But you don't believe me?

SHERIFF DENBY

Look at it from my point of view. All I see are your tracks and nothing else.

NANCY ARCHER

Well, it..it never touched the ground. Look, you've got to believe me.

Suddenly a very bright light bathes both of them. Nancy points to the light on the road.

NANCY ARCHER

There!

SHERIFF DENBY

What, Mrs. Archer?

NANCY ARCHER

There! Can't you see!?

SHERIFF DENBY

Yeah, I can see it.

The light turns into the headlights of a car that pulls up and stops behind the cruiser.

NANCY ARCHER

(dejected when she sees whose car it is)

Why did you call him?

SHERIFF DENBY

Part of the job, Mrs. Archer.

Nancy's father (HAMILTON COBB) steps from the car. He is in his 50s and looks like a rock-hard, no nonsense, army general in a business suit.

Hamilton Cobb

Sheriff.

SHERIFF DENBY

Mr. Cobb.

HAMILTON COBB

(giving an order)

Get in the car, Nancy. I'll drive you home.

NANCY ARCHER

I was just trying to explain to the sheriff....

HAMILTON COBB

Get into the car.

Nancy meekly goes to the car and gets in.

HAMILTON COBB (CONT'D)

Thanks for the call, Danby.

SHERIFF DENBY

Yes, sir. Yes, sir.

HAMILTON COBB

Now, there won't be any tiresome paperwork about this little incident, will there sheriff?

SHERIFF DENBY

(cowed)

I think the young lady is upset enough as it is.

HAMILTON COBB

Good-night, sheriff.

Cobb turns on his heel and leaves.

SHERIFF DENBY

Good-night, sir.

CUT TO:

EXT. dIRT ROAD THROUGH THE DESERT - mOMENTS LATER

Cobb is driving Nancy home. He is very angry and she is moping.

HAMILTON COBB

A spaceship? My god, Nancy, why are you trying to destroy me?

NANCY ARCHER

I saw it.

HAMILTON COBB

(with anger)

I cut short a meeting with the mayor this afternoon for you, the mayor, Nancy! And then I get a call from that scumbag deputy, "Come get your daughter, your hallucinating daughter."

NANCY ARCHER

Why can't you admit for one second that there's a chance I might be telling the truth?

HAMILTON COBB

It's your mother all over again!

NANCY ARCHER

I saw something.

HAMILTON COBB

You saw nothing! I will not be made the laughing stock of in this town!

The car passes through the entrance to the long driveway that leads to the Cobb mansion. After a bit of a drive, the car pulls up the massive and well-lighted four-story mansion.

CUT TO:

INT. a study in The cobb mansion - mOMENTS LATER

Hamilton Cobb slams down a number of papers before Nancy, who is seated at an ornate desk.

NANCY ARCHER

What happened to all the papers I signed yesterday?

HAMILTON COBB

Today there are more.

Nancy signs compliantly as her father removes each paper as soon she finishes signing and indicates where she should sign the next one.

HARRY ARCHER (O.C.)

Give the girl a break, Hamilton.

Nancy looks up to see Harry standing in the entrance to the study. She is pleased and relieved to see him.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry.

Nancy starts to stand, but her father presses her back down with a hand to her shoulder and has her sign one more paper. He then places the papers in a briefcase and locks it.

HAMILTON COBB

All right, Nancy, you look tired, why don't you toddle off to bed.

NANCY ARCHER

(stands to leave)

Yes, father.

(approaches Harry)

Harry?

HARRY ARCHER

Go on upstairs, baby, your dad and I have some business to discuss.

NANCY ARCHER

But...

HARRY ARCHER

I'll be right up.

Nancy, somewhat dejected, leaves the room.

HARRY ARCHER (CONT'D)

So how'd your meeting go with the mayor?

Nancy leaves the room, but stays outside of the closed door and listens. We see her reaction as she hears to what the men say.

HAMILTON COBB (O.S.)

I'll worry about the mayor, and you worry about keeping her in line. And for God's sake, can't you come up with anything more discrete than Tony's Shangra-La?

HARRY ARCHER (O.S.)

I don't see that what I do is any of your business!

HAMILTON COBB (O.S.)

I don't care if you cheat on your wife, but I will not permit you to embarrass me! Especially not now, when we're this close to getting the zoning switched!

Nancy walks away deeply hurt and heads upstairs.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. the attic of the cobb mansion - LATER that night

We see a lovely room with an old style Victorian bed. Everything in the room seems perfect with every chair and curtain in place. There is a window on the far wall. Suddenly Nancy's face appears outside the window, enormous in size. But quickly we see that it is a trick of the camera, as the room we have been viewing turns out to be a room in a dollhouse she is looking over up in the attic. Nancy walks about the dollhouse, which seems to be a replica of the actual Cobb mansion. She is comforted by her memories and we sense that she must have played with this house for many hours when she was a girl.

In the dollhouse is a small doll of a man. Nancy picks it up fondly and holds him in her hand. She looks gigantic compared with the doll. She smiles at the doll and lovingly sits him on the roof.

Next she finds a large stuffed teddy bear in a crib that was hers as a baby. She picks up the bear and hugs it to her chest and then kisses it. She looks at it fondly. Then, suddenly she sees something in a box nearby. She picks it up. It is an old photo album. She sits down and turns on a light so she can see it better and begins to leaf through the pages looking at the photos. The pictures bring back fond memories. But one photo upsets her. It is a picture of her as a young girl with her mother. Now she becomes sad and closes the album.

HARRY ARCHER (O.C.)

Make a wish.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry.

Nancy stands to greet Harry, who has entered the attic. He gently touches her face.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

You're cold.

He kisses her warmly and she responds.

HARRY ARCHER

Not that cold.

NANCY ARCHER

Why did you lie to me?

HARRY ARCHER

(acting hurt by her insinuation)

Nancy.

NANCY ARCHER

You said you weren't going to see her anymore.

He sits Nancy back down and kneels before her.

HARRY ARCHER

(with deep sincerity)

And that's what I was up there telling her. I had to tell her, didn't I? I had to tell her face to face, didn't I?

Nancy believes him and softens. She kisses him.

NANCY ARCHER

I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you.

HARRY ARCHER

What happened?

NANCY ARCHER

Well, you got so involved in Daddy's business.....

HARRY ARCHER

No, baby...I mean tonight. What happened out there in the desert?

NANCY ARCHER

I don't want to talk about it...I...I...

Harry kisses her to get her relaxed. Nancy smiles and tries to answer him.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

You'll think I'm crazy.

HARRY ARCHER

Now why would I think something like that?

NANCY ARCHER

I saw something...in the sky.

Harry hugs her to him and holds her.

CUT TO:

EXT. the desert - nIGHT

A flashlight beam illuminates the skull of a dead cow as Deputy Spooner searches about. We hear owls HOOT and coyotes HOWL. Spooner is startled by Sheriff Denby who comes up behind him and touches his shoulder. Spooner whirls his flashlight about and shines it on the sheriff.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Oh, sheriff.

SHERIFF DENBY

You see anything?

DEPUTY SPOONER

No, no, nothing to report.

We hear a donkey HEE-HAW. Spooner shines his light at the sound. We see PROSPECTOR EDDIE, and old man leading his jackass as he wanders the desert looking for gold.

DEPUTY SPOONER (CONT'D)

Oh, hell, it's just Hard-Luck Eddie.

SHERIFF DENBY

Evening, Eddie.

Prospector eddie

What are you doing out here, Denby?

SHERIFF DENBY

Just doing my job.

PROSPECTOR EDDIE

Yeah, well, you ain't got no claim out here. This here is my mountain!

SHERIFF DENBY

You seen anything out here tonight, Eddie?

PROSPECTOR EDDIE

Like what?

DEPUTY SPOONER

Something unusual.

PROSPECTOR EDDIE

This here's the desert, Mr. Deputy, what you call unusual don't mean much around here.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Did you see something, or not?

PROSPECTOR EDDIE

I seen plenty. I seen hailstones as big as your head. I seen lightning shoot up out the ground, up into the clouds. And I heard stuff too. When the wind gets tangled up in them power lines makes the wire sing like a crazy woman in love. Ha, thirty years out here, there ain't nothing unusual to me.

SHERIFF DENBY

Thanks a lot, Eddie.

PROSPECTOR EDDIE

Don't mention it, sheriff.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(putting another toothpick in his mouth)

What do you figure she saw?

SHERIFF DENBY

Well, it could have been some kid in a hot rod...a jet or a helicopter from over to the air base.

(looking up at the sky)

I suppose it could have been something.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(grinning)

Say, maybe it was a spaceship. Maybe she ain't crazy, what do you think?

SHERIFF DENBY

I think I've done my job for tonight and I'm going home to bed. And if you're smart, you'll do the same.

CUT TO:

INT. honey's apartment in town - dAY

Honey is eating some snacks and reading a book while wearing her glasses, when there is a KNOCK AT HER DOOR. She stands and goes over to the door.

HONEY PARKER

Who is it?

The person knocking raps out "Shave and a hair-cut, two bits." With her guard chain still on the door, Honey opens it. She sees who it is and opens the chain, stepping back from the door. Mr. Cobb enters.

HAMILTON COBB

Well, those glasses are new! I like them.

Mr. Cobb takes the book from Honey's hands and inspects it.

HAMILTON COBB (CONT'D)

`Principles of Accounting and Management'!

(laughing)

That's new, too!

HONEY PARKER

(removing her glasses)

A girl's gotta plan for the future.

HAMILTON COBB

You don't have any future! You can take night courses from now until you stop being pretty, and you still won't have any future, not with Harry Archer.

HONEY PARKER

Well, maybe that's not the way I see it.

HAMILTON COBB

You don't see anything beyond the end of that pretty little nose I paid for.

Mr. Cobb tries to touch her nose, but she defiantly pushes his hand away.

HAMILTON COBB (CONT'D)

Harry only wants what I want. He doesn't have the imagination to want anything else. He doesn't love you; he hates me!

HONEY PARKER

You talked to her like this, didn't you? Chip, chip, chipping away; making her feel smaller and smaller. This is how you talked to your wife, and this is how you talk to your daughter, isn't it?

HAMILTON COBB

It's one thing to be smart, and it's another thing to stay smart all the way around the block. You've still got a way to go.

HONEY PARKER

Anything in particular you want?

HAMILTON COBB

(lights up a cigar)

Yes, I've ah...well, I'm anticipating some changes. Once I take care of the mayor and the boys on the council, things are going to come through quickly.

HONEY PARKER

(sitting before her make-up mirror)

So?

HAMILTON COBB

So? A word to the wise. Don't get in the way.

HONEY PARKER

What could I do?

HAMILTON COBB

You? Nothing. But Harry might try something. He can't stop me, but he can interfere with me. You tell him to keep his head down and his uninspired thoughts to himself.

HONEY PARKER

Why don't you tell him yourself?

HAMILTON COBB

I already have, but you get more of his attention than I do.

HONEY PARKER

(standing to leave)

Anything else? I have an emergency set of tips to do.

HAMILTON COBB

You take care of him and there might be a couple of bucks in it down the line. Who knows, a word in the owner's ear--you could be promoted to first chair.

HONEY PARKER

Maybe I want more than first chair and a couple of lousy bucks.

HAMILTON COBB

(as he leaves the apartment)

Don't want more than you've got coming to you. You'll end up with nothing at all.

CUT TO:

EXT. a garden on the cobb estate  - dAY

Nancy and Dr. Cushing are walking in the garden. Nancy stops to admire the flowers.

NANCY ARCHER

I suppose it's all over town.

DR. CUSHING

What is?

NANCY ARCHER

Last night's fiasco.

DR. CUSHING

What exactly happened last night?

NANCY ARCHER

You like the garden? I try to keep it as nice as my mother did, but it's hard. I don't know how she managed. It's a gift, I suppose.

DR. CUSHING

Harry told me you had an experience last night.

NANCY ARCHER

An experience is a nice generic term, and accurate without any messy details.

DR. CUSHING

I like details.

NANCY ARCHER

Ask Harry; my father; the sheriff.

DR. CUSHING

I'm asking you.

NANCY ARCHER

If I tell you, you'll just get the face.

DR. CUSHING

The face?

NANCY ARCHER

The poor Nancy face.

(Dr. Cushing chuckles)

I've had just about as much of that as I can take.

DR. CUSHING

Well, I'm a pretty good poker player. Why don't you give it a try?

NANCY ARCHER

I saw something...in the sky...a spaceship.

DR. CUSHING

Yes.

Nancy turns and walks to a bench where they both sit together.

NANCY ARCHER

Is this how it started with my mother?

DR. CUSHING

Nancy, you're not your mother.

NANCY ARCHER

But is this how it started...I mean, seeing things...acting crazy?

DR. CUSHING

There's a big difference between acting crazy and being crazy.

NANCY ARCHER

Do you believe I saw something? Don't say that you believe I believe I saw something. You always call me on it when I try to squirm out of one of your questions. Now it's your turn. Do you believe me?

DR. CUSHING

Yes.

CUT TO:

EXT. the entrance to the mansion - dAY

Dr. Cushing is leaving. Harry is outside the door waiting for her. He has a lounge lizard look about him. He has his suit jacket slung over his shoulder and there is a cigarette dangling from his lips.

HARRY ARCHER

Thought you'd get away without seeing me?

(walks over to Dr. Cushing)

Nancy told you about her little "close encounter?"

DR. CUSHING

Just what do you want me to say, Mr. Archer? That she's insane because she saw a UFO, that she's incompetent?

HARRY ARCHER

Maybe it runs in the family. Like mother; like daughter.

DR. CUSHING

I'm late for a meeting.

Dr. Cushing starts to walk away, but Harry follows after her.

HARRY ARCHER

I can't help but think under the circumstances it would be better if Nancy were to spend a little time, you know, inside someplace.

DR. CUSHING

I always thought men like you vanished with the dinosaur and the woolly mammoth, but here you are big as life, amazing.

HARRY ARCHER

(sarcastically)

Is that a scientific opinion?

DR. CUSHING

It's a very unscientific, very female opinion. Excuse me.

Dr. Cushing walks away.

CUT TO:

EXT. the cobb mansion swimming pool - dAY

Nancy is swimming the length of the pool underwater. As she surfaces at the shallow end Harry is waiting for her. Nancy looks up at him.

NANCY ARCHER

Why did you call Dr. Cushing?

HARRY ARCHER

I thought you might want to talk things out.

(kneeling down and touching her)

I was worried about you.

NANCY ARCHER

You think I'm crazy.

Nancy exits the pool and walks over to her towel. Harry follows her.

HARRY ARCHER

Well, you have to admit, that's quite a story you've got there.

NANCY ARCHER

It's true.

(seeing Harry's doubtful expression)

Great.

HARRY ARCHER

You might want to think about getting away. Get some rest.

NANCY ARCHER

The sanitarium, like my mother?

HARRY ARCHER

It might be just what you need.

NANCY ARCHER

What I need is a little proof of what I saw. I just wish I could make you go out there so you could see for yourself.

HARRY ARCHER

And if I don't see anything?

NANCY ARCHER

What do you mean?

HARRY ARCHER

I'll go out there with you to try to find this thing. And if we find it, or any part of it, you get a public apology from me, your father, the sheriff, everyone. But...

NANCY ARCHER

But?

HARRY ARCHER

But if we don't find anything, you promise to sign yourself up for a little supervised relaxation.

NANCY ARCHER

I saw something...I'll drive.

Harry is delighted and smiles to himself.

CUT TO:

EXT. mAIN ROAD THROUGH TOWN - dAY

Nancy and Harry are driving through town on their way out to the desert. They are in Nancy's convertible and the top is down.

HARRY ARCHER

Any particular search pattern in mind, or you just want to poke around between here and the Pacific Ocean?

NANCY ARCHER

Once we're through town we'll go into the hills. Then we'll take the long way back to the house on the Old Country Road.

HARRY ARCHER

And if we don't see anything?

NANCY ARCHER

Then we'll do it all over again.

Harry looks exasperated. Then he notices that they are passing the beauty shop where Honey works. Honey sees them go by and Harry looks at her and raises his hands as if to say, Who the hell knows how long this is going to take. Honey just shakes her head at this new turn of events. As they pass the drive-in, the sheriff and deputy see them pass.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(slyly)

Well, well, it's Mr. And Mrs. Archer. Ya figure they patched things up?

CUT TO:

EXT. a TWO-LANE DESERT HIGHWAY - dAY

The Archers are driving along the highway in the bright sunlight. Nothing unusual has happened. Harry is bored. Without asking what Nancy might want he turns on the car radio and selects some BIG BAND MUSIC, then closes his eyes and rests.

CUT TO:

EXT. dIRT ROAD THROUGH THE DESERT - eVENING

They continue to drive, BIG BAND MUSIC still playing, past some huge high-tension lines that run alongside the road. As night falls, Nancy pulls the car off the road and stops in the desert. She turns off the ignition, radio, and lights. She exits the car and looks toward the night sky. She walks off a distance and looks about. Harry watches her. Finally, he shakes his head and exits the car.

HARRY ARCHER

Getting late!

Harry walks over to join Nancy.

NANCY ARCHER

Am I supposed to just go quietly?

HARRY ARCHER

Come on, I'll take you to dinner. You want to stay out here with the scorpions all night.

Nancy continues to watch the starry sky.

HARRY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Look Nancy, I don't know what went wrong but...

Suddenly we hear an energy surge ZAP and the car RADIO and lights come on.

HARRY ARCHER (CONT'D)

(looking at the car)

What's wrong with that thing?

Suddenly Nancy points up to a light in the sky.

NANCY ARCHER

See! There! I told you! Look at it!

It is the flying saucer. It comes down low to hover near the surface of the desert.

HARRY ARCHER

I see it!!

NANCY ARCHER

(leaping for joy)

It's real!! You didn't believe me, no one believed me, but it's real!!

HARRY ARCHER

Shhhh! Jesus Christ, shut up. You want it to see you?

NANCY ARCHER

Who cares, as long as you see it!

Nancy goes happily running, almost skipping, toward the huge saucer.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Wait until my father hears about this!

Suddenly a blue beam shoots out from under the saucer and bathes Nancy in light.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Harry!

HARRY ARCHER

Shit!

NANCY ARCHER

Harry! Harry!

Harry runs to help her, but the light acts like a force field and he collides with it and falls backwards. He tries to push his way through the light to get to Nancy, but it is no use.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry! Harry, don't leave me!

As Harry tries to get through the force field Nancy is beamed up into the saucer. Harry watches in amazement as the saucer departs with Nancy. Harry looks down and finds nothing left but one of Nancy's sandals. In a panic he races back to the car.

CUT TO:

INT. the beauty salon where honey works - nIGHT

Honey is wearing her glasses and studying her books alone in the empty salon having just closed up for the night. The lights flicker and she thinks she feels an odd vibration. Honey gets up and walks along the floor of the shop. As she does so she notices that the light fixtures, which hang by long chains from the ceiling, are swaying. Frightened, Honey approaches the door that leads to the roof. But before going through that door, she takes a fire ax from the wall. Then she enters the door and slowly climbs the stairs to the roof.

CUT TO:

EXT. the beauty salon roof - nIGHT

Honey exits onto the roof carrying her ax. She carefully walks about looking for someone she thinks might be up there. Looking down she sees Nancy's other sandal. Suddenly, Nancy steps out of the shadows. She is barefoot and looking a bit strange.

NANCY ARCHER

Honey. Did your mother call you that, or was it somebody else?

HONEY PARKER

Mrs. Archer?

NANCY ARCHER

(in a daze)

Such a sweet name...suits you...the way you attract men and all. Why are you trying to take my husband away from me?

HONEY PARKER

How'd you get up here?

Nancy points to the sky.

NANCY ARCHER

Shhhh, it's our secret.

Suddenly Nancy faints and collapses.

HONEY PARKER

Baggage. Why do I always fall for guys with so much baggage?

CUT TO:

INT. a STUDY IN THE COBB MANSION - nIGHT

We see a photograph of Mr. Cobb shaking hands with President Nixon. Dr. Cushing looks at it and then heads for the study.

HARRY ARCHER (O.C.)

You're paranoid, old man, I think the stress is getting to you.

HAMILTON COBB (O.C.)

Is that the sort of line you've been feeding her? You're an amateur.

As Dr. Cushing enters the study we see Mr. Cobb and Harry talking.

HARRY ARCHER

I don't know; I've had a pretty good teacher.

Looking shocked at what she is hearing, Dr. Cushing knocks on the wall to announce her presence even though she has already entered the room.

HAMILTON COBB

(responding to the knocking sound without looking)

Get out!

Mr. Cobb turns to unexpectedly see Dr. Cushing.

HAMILTON COBB (CONT'D)

I'm sorry, doctor.

DR. CUSHING

She's resting.

HAMILTON COBB

Oh? That's....good....resting.

HARRY ARCHER

She still doesn't remember what happened to her, does she?

DR. CUSHING

No, but it'll come back to her.

HARRY ARCHER

It will?

DR. CUSHING

That's how hysterical amnesia works. It burns off, a little at a time, like a fog.

Harry pours himself a drink.

HAMILTON COBB

And then she'll be able to tell us everything?

DR. CUSHING

I do think she's all right. But I do want to talk to the emergency room doctor about her blood tests.

HARRY ARCHER

Is something wrong?

DR. CUSHING

I don't think so, but the hormone levels indicate that the tests were run improperly.

HAMILTON COBB

But she's all right? I mean, you said that. She's not talking about seeing things

(Dr. Cushing shakes her head, "no")

or anything that would indicate any kind of, you know, problems?

HARRY ARCHER

Mental breakdown.

HAMILTON COBB

Can you conceive of keeping your mouth shut for five minutes?!

HARRY ARCHER

You don't care about her condition, as long as she can still sign your papers so you can keep the money moving around.

DR. CUSHING

(responding to someone entering)

Nancy?

Nancy walks slowly into the room.

NANCY ARCHER

Dr. Cushing, can you please give me a ride back into town?

HAMILTON COBB

Go on back upstairs, Nancy, you need your rest.

NANCY ARCHER

I need to get away from here. Everybody here thinks I'm crazy. Well, I'm not crazy.

HARRY ARCHER

Of course you're not, baby. If you want to get out of here, that's fine. I'll take you wherever you want to go.

HAMILTON COBB

I'm not going to let you spirit her away before she can tell us what you tried to do to her in the desert.

The two men stand arguing face to face with Nancy standing between them.

NANCY ARCHER

Please.

HAMILTON COBB

She's going to tell me everything that happened. Aren't you, Nancy?

NANCY ARCHER

I don't remember anything.

HARRY ARCHER

You see?

HAMILTON COBB

Don't try to force her to lie for you, Harry!

NANCY ARCHER

Please, don't fight!

HAMILTON COBB

Don't worry, Nancy. I can handle him.

HARRY ARCHER

Like you handled her mother?

HAMILTON COBB

You really don't know when to shut up, do you?

HARRY ARCHER

You went through her money like it was yours and ended up making her life so miserable that there wasn't anything left for her to do except kill herself!

Hearing these words, Nancy becomes extremely emotional.

NANCY ARCHER

No! Stop it!

HARRY ARCHER

Stay out of this!

HAMILTON COBB

Not now, Nancy!

Nancy begins to yell at everyone in the room, enough so as to get their attention and surprise them.

NANCY ARCHER

Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Don't you talk about my mother that way! And don't talk about me that way! I am here! I am in this room! I am a person! I am not a chair, or a.....

Suddenly, Nancy stops yelling. She feels strange. She feels a pain in her ring finger and looks at it. Her hand is growing! The wedding ring on her hand bursts off of her finger. The others see this and are shocked. Nancy sits down in a nearby chair, unsure of the strange feelings gripping her.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry?!

HARRY ARCHER

(begins moving toward her)

What is it, baby?

Mr. Cobb grabs Harry's arm and pulls him back.

HAMILTON COBB

Get away from her!

HARRY ARCHER

You get away from her!

As the men resume their fight Nancy begins to grow noticeably. Dr. Cushing is alarmed and gets the men's attention as to what is happening.

DR. CUSHING

Gentlemen!

As Nancy starts to grow, her diamond pendant snaps and falls off. Then there are RIPPING sounds as her clothing begins to burst apart at the seams. Nancy looks down and sees her feet burst from her shoes.

NANCY ARCHER

(in terror)

Dr. Cushing, what's happening to me!

Dr. Cushing is too shocked to answer. Nancy stands up and her bra explodes off of her. Her breasts, which were large under normal circumstances, burst forth in bouncy view causing Harry's eyes to go wide and Mr. Cobb to cover his. Nancy cries out and covers her giant breasts with her hands. As she grows, her shredded dress and panties begin to fall away and she desperately clutches them to her crotch with one hand while somewhat failing to cover her massive breasts with her other. The three watch her in such shock that they are practically paralyzed. Nancy continues to grow! Even though stooped over her head and shoulders break through the ceiling to the floor above. Still she is growing!

NANCY ARCHER

Harry!

CUT TO:

EXT. The cobb mansion - cONTINUOUS

We see the Cobb mansion all lighted up from a distance. We hear Nancy's voice coming from the house with enormous volume.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry!

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. a large horse stable on the cobb property - day

The horse stable is three-stories high and contains a huge central space 35' high and many lofts above the horse stalls for storage. The horses have been removed to make room for Nancy. The floor is hard-packed dirt. There are two very large doors at the entrance that swing open.

Dr. Cushing exits the stable through the large doors to meet Harry and Dr. Loeb who are just arriving. Dr. Loeb is wearing a three-piece suit and bow tie.

HARRY ARCHER

Dr. Cushing, I'd like you to meet a colleague of yours, Dr. Victor Loeb.

DR. LOEB

(greeting Dr. Cushing)

Doctor.

DR. CUSHING

I warned you about bringing anyone in from the outside. Nancy's condition...

HARRY ARCHER

(interrupting)

Dr. Cushing, you may be able to see into her mental condition, but you're not qualified to look after her physical well-being. Dr. Loeb is.

Dr. Loeb nods that he agrees.

Dr. Cushing decides that Dr. Loeb had ought to see just what he is getting into and motions Dr. Loeb to follow her into the stable.

DR. CUSHING

Come with me, doctor.

HARRY ARCHER

I'll just wait out here.

DR. LOEB

I'm afraid Harry wasn't very specific when he phoned. Just what is Mrs. Archer's condition?

DR. CUSHING

Unique. Once you're inside, please don't make any sudden moves.

CUT TO:

INT. the horse stable - cONTINUOUS

Dr. Cushing enters.

DR. CUSHING

(raising her voice so as to be heard)

Nancy! I'd like you to meet Dr. Loeb. He's here to help you.

Dr. Loeb enters the stable door.

DR. CUSHING (CONT'D)

Dr. Loeb, I'd like you to meet Nancy Archer.

Dr. Loeb sees Nancy. She is gigantic. Her head reaches to the top of the stable even though she is sitting. She is wearing a homemade, two-piece, bikini style garment, made from whole bolts of cloth of different colors and patterns. Her gigantic breasts are barely contained. She is sitting barefoot and legs crossed, obviously distressed to be confined by the "small" enclosure.

DR. LOEB

(entering the stable and looking up)

My God!!

Nancy sees him enter and greets him.

NANCY ARCHER

Doctor.

DR. LOEB

This is impossible!!

Something about Nancy is different. She seems more powerful in her demeanor. Her immense size has made her angry and given her a sense of strength.

NANCY ARCHER

(bitter and sarcastic)

Well...that certainly takes a load off my mind. I thought I had a problem.

DR. CUSHING

Twenty-four hours ago she was a normal sized woman.

(showing Dr. Loeb Nancy's medical chart)

Note the hormone levels.

DR. LOEB

The levels are anomalous, but they couldn't account for that!

(he points at Nancy)

NANCY ARCHER

(angry, almost threatening)

I am not a "that!"

DR. LOEB

(soothingly; afraid)

Of course your not.

(to Dr. Cushing)

We must get her to a controlled, therapeutic environment. I have a private clinic that's very secluded. That's why Harry....

NANCY ARCHER

A sanitarium? No!

DR. LOEB

Mrs. Archer...Nancy. Don't you want the security?

NANCY ARCHER

I'm staying here!

Nancy leans forward and slams her fist down on the ground in front of Dr. Loeb. As she leans forward her huge breasts strain at the cloth holding them. Her breasts giggle heavily as her fist strikes the ground. Dirt is kicked up over the two doctors. They retreat, Dr. Loeb's eyes go wide and he stares at Nancy's huge chest. As Nancy withdraws her fist we can see a mighty imprint in the ground. Dr. Loeb looks at it in fear.

DR. LOEB

(trembling)

Yes, I think home treatment would be less stressful...for everyone.

NANCY ARCHER

And you don't have to worry about the money. Anything you want you can have, just ask my father.

Dr. Loeb looses his nerve and runs from the stable, leaving Dr. Cushing smiling at Nancy and her newfound power.

CUT TO:

INT. the beauty salon - dAY

Honey Parker is doing the nails of a CUSTOMER when she notices her table begin to shake owing to some mysterious vibration. She looks up and we see a caravan of large trucks going by. As they pass we can see the signs on them. One says MEAT, another REVLON, a third says SUMMER'S EVE and the last, a tanker, says MILK.

CUT TO:

EXT. tHE COBB MANSION SWIMMING POOL - dAY

Harry is pouring himself a drink at the poolside bar while speaking with Dr. Loeb.

HARRY ARCHER

You were supposed to get her into that sanitarium of yours. That's why I called you.

DR. LOEB

She didn't want to go.

HARRY ARCHER

You should have talked her into it.

DR. LOEB

Under the circumstances, Harry, any argument would be very one-sided. She has to be at least 50 feet tall!

Harry hands the trembling Dr. Loeb a drink, which he greedily grabs and gulps down. Harry offers him a seat under a pool umbrella and both men sit down to talk.

HARRY ARCHER

What made her grow that tall?

DR. LOEB

You said she began to grow after becoming agitated. Clearly it's stress related. The blood levels indicate some kind of hormonal imbalance.

HARRY ARCHER

Terrific, you've discovered a new kind of PMS.

DR. LOEB

The situation is serious, Harry.

HARRY ARCHER

You're telling me?

DR. LOEB

The human body wasn't designed to grow that large, Harry. I calculate that she must weigh nearly 60 tons. That's as much as a dozen large elephants. Even though her heart has grown, I'm concerned about the strain such immense weight will have on it.

HARRY ARCHER

(perking up)

You mean that she could have a heart attack?

DR. LOEB

Harry, try to understand that right now your wife has a blood pressure ten times higher than an adult giraffe.

Harry looks excited by what he deems to be great news.

CUT TO:

EXT. outside tHE sTABLE by the large front doors - nIGHT

Nancy is kneeling down and trying to read little papers she is holding in her huge hands by the stable light that is mounted just off the front of the thirty-foot high eves. Her father is looking up at her.

HAMILTON COBB

(shouting to her)

It's all boiler-plate, Nancy. You don't have to look at them.

NANCY ARCHER

How am I supposed to sign these?

Mr. Cobb has brought some supplies. A long stick with attached paintbrush, a bucket of paint, and a large sheet of cardboard.

HAMILTON COBB

You don't have to. You use the paint to sign the cardboard. Then I take your signature and I reduce it and put it on the documents. Now, I've spoken to the lawyers about it and they tell me that under the circumstances it is... essentially...legal.

Nancy looks down at her father. Feeling her new power she tosses the papers at him. They flutter down all about.

NANCY ARCHER

Blow them up.

HAMILTON COBB

What!?

NANCY ARCHER

If they can reduce my signature, they can enlarge those contracts. Get a billboard or something. I want that fine print six feet tall!

Mr. Cobb goes about picking up the papers.

HAMILTON COBB

Well, I simply will not have the details of my business pasted on the side of a barn for the world to see.

NANCY ARCHER

Then you better find a new business, because I'm not signing them until I can read them.

HAMILTON COBB

You've had a long day. I'm sure it has been very stressful. Perhaps you ought to go back in the...I mean go back in, and rest.

NANCY ARCHER

(looking up at the night sky)

I like being out here looking at the stars.

HAMILTON COBB

Of course you do. We all like the stars; they're very pretty. But you have to take care of yourself. You have to...

NANCY ARCHER

(becoming angry and interrupting)

Father, I'm not a little girl!

As she says this she leans down toward her father, looming over him. Frightened and wide-eyed, Mr. Cobb takes a few steps back.

HAMILTON COBB

Ah, no, no, you're not. But you need your rest; you have to protect your strength, so that the doctors can make you better!

NANCY ARCHER

You mean make me like I was before.

HAMILTON COBB

Yes, just as you were before. Now isn't that what we all want?

NANCY ARCHER

(sighing)

I'll go back in the stable.

HAMILTON COBB

(smiling)

Good!

NANCY ARCHER

(glaring at him)

In a little while.

HAMILTON COBB

(swallowing hard)

Ah...well...ah...that'll be fine.

NANCY ARCHER

Good-night, father.

HAMILTON COBB

(looking discomposed)

Good-night, Nancy.

Nancy leans back against the stable and looks up at the stars.

HONEY PARKER (O.S.)

Jesus, she's big!

CUT TO:

EXT. a parking area overlooking the Cobb estate - cONTINUOUS

Honey Parker is looking at Nancy through binoculars while standing with Harry. As they talk, Harry smokes a cigarette and that take turns looking at Nancy in the distance.

HONEY PARKER (CONT'D)

I mean big! How'd she get so big!

HARRY ARCHER

Something in that UFO bollixed up her hormones.

HONEY PARKER

Oh. I can't get over how big she is.

HARRY ARCHER

The doctor said that being that size puts a strain on her heart. She gets dizzy.

HONEY PARKER

Probably the altitude.

HARRY ARCHER

They think she might have a heart attack. I doubt they'd be surprised if she keeled over like a mighty redwood. A little stress, some anger, some aggravation...and timber!

(laughs)

HONEY PARKER

I don't know. She looks pretty healthy to me. Better than she did on that roof.

HARRY ARCHER

Maybe we could sell the carcass to Ringling Brothers.

HONEY PARKER

Maybe you shouldn't try to be so funny all the time. If you try to upset her, she could get dangerous. I mean, look how big she is!

CUT TO:

EXT. tHE COBB MANSION SWIMMING POOL - cONTINUOUS

Nancy is in the large swimming pool taking a bath. Nancy extends a sexy leg and washes it using a king-size mattress as a sponge. She looks up and sees Harry.

NANCY ARCHER

Come and look at the stars with me.

Harry walks out to the pool, which Nancy fills as though it were a bathtub. The water is covered with floating suds from her soap.

HARRY ARCHER

(hopefully)

You all right? I mean, you feel okay besides the occasional dizziness?

Nancy slips her hand under the suds and over her huge breasts.

NANCY ARCHER

My heart beats faster than normal.

(being coquettish)

Would you like to feel it?

HARRY ARCHER

No, no, that's okay. I'll take your word for it.

NANCY ARCHER

The doctor says it's all right, as long as I don't get too worked up.

HARRY ARCHER

That's an important thing to remember about not getting too worked up.

NANCY ARCHER

(stretching out her arms in an erotic manner)

Otherwise, I feel just fine.

HARRY ARCHER

Great. Well, I guess I'll turn in. Goodnight, Nancy.

NANCY ARCHER

I was wondering about something.

HARRY ARCHER

(becoming exasperated)

Wondering about what?

Nancy moves closer in the pool to Harry, looming over him.

NANCY ARCHER

About what would happen if I were to tell the sheriff that you took me out in the desert and just left me out there to fend for myself. What do you think people would make of that?

HARRY ARCHER

But, that's not what happened.

NANCY ARCHER

Suppose that's what I tell them happened. Suppose for once people believe me instead of somebody else?

HARRY ARCHER

(becoming angry)

I know you too well. You don't have the nerve.

NANCY ARCHER

(becoming angrier)

Maybe I've changed.

Nancy suddenly feels a pain in her chest and bolts upright causing water to flood out of the pool and over Harry's shoes.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Go inside, Harry.

HARRY ARCHER

(hopefully)

Are you sure you're all right?

NANCY ARCHER

Go inside. And don't make any plans for dinner tomorrow night. You and I have a lot to discuss.

CUT TO:

EXT. Establishing shot - tHE HORSE STABLE - day

CUT TO:

INT. tHE HORSE STABLE - cONTINUOUS

Dr. Cushing is standing in a loft so that she can be at eye-level with Nancy who is sitting and sewing clothes. Nancy is using a sharpened, drilled piece of re-bar for a needle, and cable for thread.

DR. CUSHING

Will your father be joining you?

NANCY ARCHER

He has a meeting with the town council. Tonight's just for Harry and me.

DR. CUSHING

Do you want to check the position of the truck, make sure it's where you want it?

NANCY ARCHER

If it isn't, I'll move it myself later.

DR. CUSHING

I suppose you could.

NANCY ARCHER

The world is my dollhouse, Dr. Cushing.

DR. CUSHING

You seem to have made a certain adjustment to your condition.

NANCY ARCHER

I'm not saying the old Nancy still isn't in me. I can hear her inside rattling around in the dark, bumping into things, always apologizing. But less and less...less and less.

Dr. Loeb enters the stable.

DR. LOEB

They've all gone, Nancy. Would you mind coming outside for a moment?

NANCY ARCHER

(to Dr. Cushing)

I'm due for a stretch.

DR. LOEB

(chuckling at, and repeating her words as he leaves the stable)

Due for a stretch.

Nancy holds out the enormous palm of her hand to Dr. Cushing.

NANCY ARCHER

Can I give you a lift?

Dr. Cushing looks at the huge hand and tries to disguise her fear.

DR. CUSHING

No, thank you.

NANCY ARCHER

How can we get along if we can't trust each other?

Nancy smiles and puts her hand away to show that she was only kidding. Dr. Cushing laughs and uses the stairs to descend.

CUT TO:

EXT. oUTSIDE THE HORSE STABLE - cONTINUOUS

Dr. Loeb is outside waiting with a gigantic syringe. With him is a NURSE holding a huge alcohol-soaked cotton ball. Dr. Cushing joins them.

DR. CUSHING

Doctor, what are you doing?

DR. LOEB

Doing? I'm merely taking a...

Dr. Loeb is made speechless by Nancy exiting the horse stable. Nancy has to wriggle through the doors on all fours. Her huge breasts hang down exposing a tremendous cleavage as she crawls through the opening. The nurse is open-mouthed during Nancy's exit, while Dr. Loeb stairs bug-eyed and gulps hard. Finally Nancy is fully outside. She gets up upon her knees to sit back upon her heels before her company.

Nancy looks down at the doctor and his syringe. She is amused.

NANCY ARCHER

So what's in this amazing colossal spike you’re holding?

DR. LOEB

Oh, just a vitamin soup, with a mineral supplement chaser.

NANCY ARCHER

And?

DR. CUSHING

Doctor!

DR. LOEB

Vitamins and minerals as I said.

NANCY ARCHER

And!

DR. LOEB

And a very mild tranquilizer.

NANCY ARCHER

Valium, or that stuff they use in racehorses?

DR. CUSHING

There's no need for this.

DR. LOEB

Well I disagree. The situation is difficult enough without running the risk of anxiety on her part. I have the husband's authority and the permission of her father.

Nancy becomes angry and leans forward, looming over the doctor.

NANCY ARCHER

What about my permission?

DR. LOEB

(looking up; frightened)

It's really for your own good, Nancy.

Nancy reaches down with her giant hand and pulls the syringe away from Dr. Loeb's grip. He steps back, astounded and frightened by her use of force. Nancy then takes the syringe and points it at Dr. Loeb like a weapon.

NANCY ARCHER

You're the one who looks like he's having a little anxiety, Dr. Loeb. Maybe you need this more than me.

Nancy brings the point of the needle near Dr. Loeb's chest. He steps back in terror. She pursues him, jabbing the needle in the air ever closer to his chest as he retreats. Dr. Loeb falls down while trying to back up and Nancy laughs at his terror.

DR. CUSHING

(motioning with her hands for Nancy to stop)

Nancy!

Nancy stops and then slowly stands up...all the way up. Her visitors are all shocked by her towering height and step back further.

NANCY ARCHER

(looking at the syringe)

I don't like needles.

Nancy looks again at Dr. Loeb. He is standing up from where he fell. Nancy holds the syringe like a dart and motions as though she will throw it at him. He steps back again and falls. Nancy smiles and then throws the syringe away. It sticks like a giant dart into the roof of a small storage shed nearby. She looks down at Dr. Loeb and his nurse.

NANCY ARCHER

Nice try.

Nancy turns and walks away.

CUT TO:

INT. the sheriff's office - nIGHT

Sheriff Denby and Deputy Spooner are alone in their office. The sheriff is timing Deputy Spooner who is practicing how fast he can reload his revolver.

SHERIFF DENBY

(holding his stopwatch)

Ready?

DEPUTY SPOONER

(nodding)

Ready.

SHERIFF DENBY

(starts his watch)

Go!

Spooner ejects six bullets from his revolver and then puts them back in as fast as he can. He is pretty quick. He puts in the last bullet and snaps the cylinder shut. The sheriff stops his watch with a CLICK.

DEPUTY SPOONER

How'd I do?

The sheriff shows his watch to Spooner who is pleased.

DEPUTY SPOONER (CONT'D)

Well, that's good.

SHERIFF DENBY

That's good.

Spooner smells his hand after putting the gun down.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Gun oil. I like the smell of gun oil.

The sheriff gets a soda pop from the office refrigerator.

SHERIFF DENBY

Yeah, it's a good smell.

The sheriff sits down and Spooner is quiet for a moment.

dEPUTY SPOONER

Sheriff, you ever have to shoot anybody?

The sheriff stares at him. Spooner grins so as to make light of the question.

DEPUTY SPOONER (CONT'D)

I'm just curious.

SHERIFF DENBY

Nope, nothing that exciting ever happened around here. Why you ask?

DEPUTY SPOONER

Well, ain't you never had no murders or nothing?

SHERIFF DENBY

Not yet. Why, you planning one?

Spooner is taken aback for a second until he sees that the sheriff is joking.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Hell no, sheriff...

(spinning the cylinder of his revolver)

It's just that a little action once in a while might liven this dumb old town up a bit...a good murder to solve once in a while...

SHERIFF DENBY

This "dumb old town" pays your salary.

DEPUTY SPOONER

No offense, sheriff, I was just saying...

SHERIFF DENBY

Besides, the only murder around here might be if Mrs. Archer plugged her husband, but she's not the type. She's more the kind that just keeps on taking it day after day.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Yeah, she's a hot one, though. She ought to dump that philandering hubby of hers and take up with a real man who'd treat her right.

SHERIFF DENBY

(chuckling)

Forget it, Charlie, she's way out of your league. You might just as well try to fly to the Moon.

Spooner loses his grin.

DEPUTY SPOONER

So why do you think she runs after him all over town then? What's so special about him? She's the one with the rich daddy.

SHERIFF DENBY

Ya know, I figure it's like it is with old Hard-Luck Eddie.

DEPUTY SPOONER

That old prospector who's in here every month after he drinks up his government check?

SHERIFF DENBY

He's been going out to that desert for as long as I can remember, looking for gold; looking for silver; looking for uranium...punching holes in those mountains ‘til they whistle in awe and sorrow...and he's always coming up empty.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Why's he do it?

SHERIFF DENBY

Because if he stops looking he's got to explain to himself what he's been doing the last 30 years. If he quits, he makes himself a fool for trying. But so long as he keeps going, at least he's got hope. Maybe the next claim will pay off, or the one after that. Comes a point when hope's all there is. So you hold on long past the point when common sense tells you you should let go. It can get that way with people, too. You keep on giving and giving because they need so much, and then maybe if you give a little more they'll be satisfied, maybe.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Well hell, that ain't love.

SHERIFF DENBY

No Charlie, that's not love. That's the thing people call love when they don't want to fell like they've wasted their lives.

CUT TO:

EXT. tHE HORSE STABLE - nIGHT

A large box-shaped truck is parked out in front of the stable. Its box-shaped cargo container provides a large surface upon its roof. On top of the truck roof are a table and chair. The table is set for a candlelight dinner. Harry approaches and sees the truck. As he comes close to the truck a gigantic shadow falls over him in the moonlight. It is Nancy approaching. She stands near the truck and towers over him. She is dressed in a new bikini made from full leather hides that she has sewn together herself. Her breasts bulge massively. She is stunning to behold.

NANCY ARCHER

(smiling)

Welcome home.

(showing off her new clothes)

Like the outfit?

HARRY ARCHER

(stunned)

It's.....something.

NANCY ARCHER

(gesturing toward the roof of the truck)

Well, I have dinner waiting on the rooftop garden.

Harry climbs up the ladder at the back of the truck and walks onto the roof and sits at the table. Nancy kneels down and sits alongside the truck so she can look at Harry. She lifts a 55-gallon drum to toast him.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

California chardonnay, not too pricey when you buy it in bulk.

Harry raises up his wine glass and Nancy gently clinks it with her 55-gallon drum. She takes a long drink.

NANCY ARCHER

Isn't this romantic?

HARRY ARCHER

(looking annoyed)

You bet.

NANCY ARCHER

(looking up and around)

It's a lovely night.

HARRY ARCHER

Yeah, a peach.

NANCY ARCHER

The stars seem so close; close enough to touch; close enough to hear you whisper.

(looking at Harry)

When was the last time you and I sat down like this and had dinner?

HARRY ARCHER

(sarcastically)

We've never sat down like this and had dinner.

NANCY ARCHER

(trying to be tolerant)

I mean in general...you and I as a couple?

HARRY ARCHER

Lots of times.

NANCY ARCHER

We don't talk enough, Harry.

HARRY ARCHER

Talking now.

NANCY ARCHER

No, I mean really talk. This thing that's happened to me, I think that it can bring us closer together if we give it half a chance.

HARRY ARCHER

Sure, what do you want to talk about?

NANCY ARCHER

Harry, have you ever thought much about Gulliver's Travels?

HARRY ARCHER

About what?

NANCY ARCHER

Gulliver's Travels.

HARRY ARCHER

The book "Gulliver's Travels?

NANCY ARCHER

That's right.

HARRY ARCHER

I can't say as I have.

NANCY ARCHER

(with a sensuous look)

I have, quite a bit. I've started to think of myself as Gulliver, suddenly surrounded by all these toys and playthings. And I've begun to think about the possibilities.

HARRY ARCHER

Exactly what possibilities are we talking about here?

NANCY ARCHER

Adventure, Harry! New dimensions; new horizons! Leave the manicurists and the cocktail waitresses down in the foothills, Harry, and look up at the mountains.

Nancy rises up on her knees and takes a deep breath. Her massive breasts expand outward. Harry looks at her gigantic chest. He is wide-eyed and frightened.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Look how I've grown, Harry. My old bras would look like band-aides on me now.

(smiling and bending forward to show off her enormous cleavage)

You don't want to get rid of me.

HARRY ARCHER

(staring in amazement)

Who said anything about getting rid of you?

NANCY ARCHER

(sitting back down on the grass heavily so her breasts bounce)

You don't want me in some sanitarium or a zoo. Think about it, Harry. You'd be the envy of every man alive. There are pleasures waiting for you that no one's even dreamed of. Imagine, love on the scale of Gulliver.

Nancy leans back on her hands. She smiles a very bedroom smile and seductively begins to part her enormous legs. Harry stares wide-eyed and can't find his voice.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

You're thinking about it, I can tell.

HARRY ARCHER

(recoiling in fear)

Are you crazy? You are crazy! What are you suggesting.....Jesus, Nancy, this is sick!

Nancy slams her legs together, sits up, and looks at Harry appalled.

NANCY ARCHER

Sick!?

HARRY ARCHER

Unnatural and sick and freakish!

NANCY ARCHER

(becoming very emotional)

Who precisely are you calling a "freak?"

HARRY ARCHER

You! I'm calling you an immense mistake and an enormous, pathetic freak!

NANCY ARCHER

(eyes filling with tears)

I'm trying to share something with you, Harry! I'm trying to save our marriage!

HARRY ARCHER

By suggesting that you and I...What did you expect me to do, get a wet suit and a flashlight?

NANCY ARCHER

(enraged)

You son-of-a-bitch!!

Nancy smashes her fist down onto the truck sending Harry flying off and sprawling onto the ground. In terror he tries to crawl away. Nancy stands up and grabs the truck. She lifts it with ease and hurls it away. We hear it CRASH off in the distance.

HARRY ARCHER

(standing up and realizing his chance to make her very upset)

You were sad before, now you're just a big joke! If you knew half about what Honey Parker does about being a real woman...

NANCY ARCHER

Insect! Tic! I offer you paradise and you cling to a stupid bauble.

Nancy starts to feel faint and dizzy. Harry sees this and goes in for the kill.

HARRY ARCHER

Honey's better in bed than you ever were! She's even better than your cousin Vera!

NANCY ARCHER

(becoming disoriented)

Vera? You slept with Vera?

Harry grins and nods "yes" excitedly and laughs.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

I'll kill her! But first I'm going to squash you like a grape!

Nancy takes a few steps forward. Harry looks at her gigantic feet approaching and is terrified that his plan has gone badly wrong. He begins to move backward. But then Nancy staggers and places the back of her hand to her forehead.

HARRY ARCHER

(whispering to himself)

Come on, baby, come on.

NANCY ARCHER

Men.

Nancy falls backward like a giant oak. She lands on the stable and the entire structure explodes into pieces beneath her falling weight. She lands on her back with a great CRASH. Debris rains down about Harry and dust settles over Nancy. She appears to be dead.

HARRY ARCHER

Yes!

HONEY PARKER

A little past your curfew, isn't it?

Harry looks like the cat that has swallowed the canary.

HARRY ARCHER

I still had to stop by and see how you are doing.

HONEY PARKER

(discouraged)

I'm doing how I'm usually doing.

HARRY ARCHER

I got you a little surprise.

HONEY PARKER

(starting to show a little interest)

Such as?

Harry pulls Nancy's 30-caret diamond pendant from his pocket and dangles it before Honey.

HARRY ARCHER

Ta-da!

HONEY PARKER

(smiling)

Oh, well, look at this now.

(becoming suspicious)

What happened?

HARRY ARCHER

(whispering and grinning)

Timber.

Honey is thrilled to discover that Nancy is dead. While she puts on the pendant and admires herself in the mirror, Harry puts on some sexy slow-dance MUSIC.

CUT TO:

INT. the sheriff's office - cONTINUOUS - nIGHT

Sheriff Denby and Deputy Spooner are in the office. The sheriff is speaking on the phone.

SHERIFF DENBY

All right, don't worry about it.  I'll send my deputy out to investigate.

(hangs up the phone)

DEPUTY SPOONER

What's up?

SHERIFF DENBY

(more bored than interested)

That was Mrs. Baxter out by the Old Country Road. She thought she heard something over to the Cobb place a little while ago that sounded like an explosion.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Explosion?

SHERIFF DENBY

Probable her hearing aide backfired.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Well, I imagine you'd hear from Mr. Cobb if there was a problem like that...You really want me to go out there?

SHERIFF DENBY

Mr. Cobb is in town tonight meeting with the mayor and the city council. And we know where Mr. Archer is.

(nodding toward downtown)

It's probably just Mrs. Archer out there by herself.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(perking up)

Think she blew up the place?

SHERIFF DENBY

Not without her husband being in it. But just to be safe I think you ought to take a drive out there. Don't go stirring things up, either. There's no need to bother Mrs. Archer. Just look around a bit and make sure things are okay.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(grinning slyly)

Okay, Sheriff. I'll let you know what I find.

Spooner grabs the keys to the police cruiser from a peg-board and heads toward the door.

SHERIFF DENBY

Yeah, you do that.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. a TWO-LANE DESERT HIGHWAY - nIGHT

Deputy Spooner is driving by himself and searching up ahead for the entrance to the Cobb Estate. He sees it and turns left through the large gates and begins traveling up the driveway toward the mansion. The mansion up ahead is fully lighted but there is no one visible outside. Before going too far up the driveway he sees the totally smashed stable and rolls the cruiser to a stop. The Deputy operates his external searchlight and shines it on the smashed structure.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(quietly to himself)

Well, I'll be....What the hell happened to the stable?

Deputy Spooner pulls the cruiser well off the driveway into some foliage so as to make his presence less obvious. He picks up his flashlight and exits the cruiser closing the door quietly. Slowly he walks toward the stable. Once there he shines his light over the smashed structure, but sees no one. He then looks in the direction of the mansion. Slowly, Spooner walks across the large grass lawn toward the mansion. As he nears the mansion he hears an amazingly huge voice.

NANCY ARCHER (O.S.)

Harry?

Deputy Spooner looks about in shock, scanning his flashlight all about but sees no one.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Who's there!? Who is that!?

Suddenly Nancy appears coming out from behind the mansion. She is head and shoulders above the four-story structure. She comes around to the front and bends down to peer into a fourth-floor window. She is well lighted by the glow from the mansion and looks more stunning than ever. But there is something about her eyes and her expression that give her a dangerous look.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry!?

Spooner reels back in stunned shock and drops his flashlight. He looks up at the 50-foot Nancy in her leather bikini with wide-eyed stupefaction.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(to himself)

My God! It's Mrs. Archer ....How?...How? Oh sweet Jesus!

Nancy hears the voice and turns to look. She looks down at the lawn area.

NANCY ARCHER

Hello? Who's there?

Deputy Spooner steps out into the light that is thrown from the windows of the mansion.

DEPUTY SPOONER

It...It's me, Mrs. Archer. Dep...Dep...Deputy Spooner. How are you tonight, Mrs. Archer and, and,  ...what the hell happened to you?

NANCY ARCHER

(with a certain displeasure realizing who is there)

Charlie?

(then seeing him)

Oh, there you are.

Nancy stands to her full towering height before the deputy. We see a shot of his knees shaking uncontrollably. She places her hands on her hips impatiently.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

What do you want?

DEPUTY SPOONER

(looking up, trembling)

Well I...

(looking over at the stable then back at Nancy)

I came out here to...I...How did you get so...

(staring at Nancy's enormous chest and gulping)

Big!?

Nancy sees what he is staring at and her eyes narrow.

NANCY ARCHER

Never mind that. Where's my husband!?

(looking around)

(beat) Harry!

(looking at the driveway)

(beat) His car is gone!

(thinking out loud to herself)

(beat) I know...

(eyes narrowing)

(beat) He's with that woman!

(closing her fists in anger)

That Bitch! I'll rip her little head off!!

Nancy looks in the direction of the town and starts walking. Spooner quickly darts out in front of her with his hands raised signaling her to stop.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Hold on, now, Mrs. Archer. Where do you think you're going?

Nancy stops and looks down at him.

NANCY ARCHER

Into town...if it's any business of yours.

DEPUTY SPOONER

Not like that you're not.

NANCY ARCHER

(with anger)

Like what?

DEPUTY SPOONER

All angry and talking murder...that's "what."

NANCY ARCHER

Get out of my way!

Nancy starts forward once more but Spooner backs up a few paces and pulls his revolver. Nancy stops.

DEPUTY SPOONER

That's far enough, Mrs. Archer! It doesn't matter how big you are. I'm the law, and I'm telling you to stop!

NANCY ARCHER

(glaring at him)

The Law!? You're not the law, Charlie. You've never been the law. You're just a pervert with a badge!

Nancy looks up in the direction of the town and starts forward again. Deputy Spooner quickly steps out of her way and watches her gigantic feet walk right past him. Her size is breathtaking. Her huge feet leave deep impressions in the lawn. He levels his revolver at her back as she passes.

DEPUTY SPOONER

I mean it, Mrs. Archer. Stop, or I'll shoot!

Nancy turns around and glares at him. Trembling, Spooner fires..BLAM...BLAM...BLAM...BLAM. Nancy turns away from the gunfire and raises her hands and arms to protect herself.

NANCY ARCHER

Ow! That stings!

Enraged, Nancy takes a step forward and reaches down for the deputy. He fires again and Nancy turns away, protecting her face once more with her hands and arms ...BLAM ...BLAM ...CLICK...CLICK. Spooner looks at Nancy and sees that his shots have had no effect. He looks at his empty gun in terror. Nancy turns back to face him, her focus is totally on him now.

NANCY ARCHER

(in a cold rage)

You worm! You bug!!

Nancy reaches for Spooner. He throws his gun at her and runs. Nancy, still bent down, stretches out and catches him before he can escape her reach. She grabs him by his ankles and lifts him upside down, holding him a short distance from the ground.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(screaming)

No! No! Mrs. Archer!

Still bending, Nancy brings him close while keeping him near the ground, dangling him until she drops him onto his chest at her enormous feet.

NANCY ARCHER

(through clenched teeth)

You're a bug! And bugs get stepped on!

Deputy Spooner is still lying on his chest sputtering and trying to recover, the air having been knocked out of him, when we see Nancy stand and slowly raise up her gigantic foot. She then moves her huge foot into position over his comparatively smaller body. We move in close on Spooner and see him turn to look up as the night-shadow of Nancy's foot falls over him. We see what he sees. It is a towering Nancy, eyes wide with rage and with her huge foot raised. Then her foot starts coming down, the enormous bare sole becoming ever larger. Spooner screams.

DEPUTY SPOONER

No!! No!!

Spooner gets to his knees quickly and scrambles out from under Nancy's descending foot. He just escapes as she steps down. He starts to run away, but Nancy reaches down for him and grabs his ankles once again. Spooner falls onto his face in the grass. Nancy's gigantic fingers hold tight to his ankles.

NANCY ARCHER

Going somewhere?

Nancy starts to pull him back toward her feet, this time dragging him along the grass on his chest. Spooner grabs and claws at the dirt and grass as he is dragged along screaming.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(in total terror)

No! Mrs. Archer, don't kill me! Please, don't kill me!

Nancy pulls Spooner toward her until his small boots are in front of her gigantic toes. Then she stands up, reaching her full height. Moving quickly she places her heel on the ground just behind Spooner's feet and then lowers her massive sole slowly down, first pinning his legs, but then holding her foot in place over him, toes still off the ground. Her giant toes extend beyond the deputy's head.

NANCY ARCHER

You are little, aren't you?

We see the view now from head on, with the camera looking beneath Nancy's toes. The deputy looks all about him in terror as he realizes the immensity of the foot above him and how he is pinned beneath it.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(screaming)

Help! Oh God, help me!

Nancy's toes begin to lower slowly. We see Deputy Spooner thrash about in terror, looking horrified at the gigantic sole slowly descending from seemingly everywhere above and around him.

DEPUTY SPOONER (CONT'D)

(screaming at the top of his lungs)

Stop! Stop!

(beginning to groan)

Aaarrggghh!

We see Nancy, her eyebrow raised in cold amusement as she cruelty terrorizes her helpless prey. We switch to the head-on view again, and see her enormous sole begin pressing the back of Spooner's head. His terror seems to double as he goes into a blind panic. He writhes and struggles, but to no avail.

DEPUTY SPOONER (CONT'D)

(screaming in terror)

No! No! Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!

Nancy's sole continues to lower ever so slowly and Spooner's face is pushed down into the dirt and grass. As his nose and mouth reach the soft lawn we see him go wide-eyed and we hear his MUFFLED SCREAMS. We see his entire face being pressed into the lawn beneath Nancy's foot as her toes lower further. Then her foot stops descending and begins to rise, but only far enough to expose Spooner's head, half-sunken in the lawn. We see his head turn slightly from side to side and then he extricates his face from the grass and soft dirt. His face is blackened with dirt and he is gasping for air. He is terrified beyond description. He struggles, but his feet and legs are still pinned beneath her gigantic foot.

DEPUTY SPOONER (CONT'D)

(gasping)

Oh God. Oh God. Please...

(beginning to cry)

Please, mercy...please.

NANCY ARCHER

What's wrong? I thought you liked me. Don't you want to play with me? You wanted to play before...what was the name of that game? Oh yes, "Shoot the Lady."

DEPUTY SPOONER

(weeping in terror; his jaw quivers uncontrollably)

I'm sorry, really sorry. Oh, please, let me go. I won't tell anyone. Please don't kill me!

NANCY ARCHER

Now it's my turn to choose a game. What shall we play? "Kiss and Make Up"? Oh, no, that's no fun. Oh, I know! Let's play, "Guess My Weight." Here, Charlie, let me give you a great big hint.

We see the head-on view once again as Nancy's huge toes begin to lower. Spooner looks about in panic as the gigantic underside of Nancy's foot descends all about him. He reaches far out with his right hand to clutch some grass just out from under her enormous sole. Once again he feels the firm flesh-roof press down on the back of his head.

DEPUTY SPOONER

(eyes wide with terror; screaming)

Stop! Stop! Stop!

We see his face being pressed into the soft earth once again. But this time the gigantic toes continue to come down. To the sound of MUFFLED SCREAMS we see the deputy vanish beneath Nancy's foot. From a different angle we can see the deputy's hand sticking out from beneath her foot, grasping and clawing at the ground. We still hear MUFFLED SCREAMING.

We look up and see a towering Nancy lean forward to apply her weight. Returning to her foot, we can see tendons flex as she presses down. Her foot begins to sink into the lawn. The deputy's hand makes one last desperate grasping reach outward. There are horrible CRUNCH and CRACKLE sounds coming from beneath Nancy's foot, and we see the deputy's hand go limp. Nancy raises her other foot so as to bring her full weight to bear on her victim. When she does this we see blood and viscera ooze up between her toes and rush out from under the side of her foot. She lowers her other foot back down, and while keeping most of her weight on her victim, slowly grinds her gigantic foot from side to side.

NANCY ARCHER

You deserve this you little pervert.

We see Nancy's face. Now that she has killed she has the eyes of a woman who has gone totally over the edge; completely insane. She looks wild-eyed toward the town. We see fear and anxiety on her face as well as rage.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

(screaming)

Harry!!

She steps forward. We look again at the foot that rests upon the deputy. Her huge heel rises and her massive toes step away. From our angle we can see into her footprint at what remains of Deputy Spooner. His right hand, which is outside of Nancy's footprint, is all that is recognizable. Inside her footprint are only blood, viscera, and ripped clothing, all pancake-flat and in the rough shape of a person. Deputy Spooner is no longer a man; he’s a two-dimensional footprint.

CUT TO:

EXT. tHE DESERT - nIGHT

Hard-Luck Eddie, the prospector, is camping with his jackass. He is drunk and swigging from a bottle while SINGING "Back Home in Indiana." He hears a BOOMING in the distance growing ever louder. He looks down and notices little pebbles and twigs bouncing to the sound of each BOOM. He looks up and sees Nancy walking along the Old Desert Road. She is gigantic. Eddie stares in disbelief. We see now that the BOOMING sounds are Nancy's footsteps. Nancy arrives at a place where a large microwave tower stands outside of town. She looks it over and then looks at the town. Planning ahead, she pushes over the tower and rips the parabolic dish from it. She then continues on toward the town.

PROSPECTOR EDDIE

Well now. That's something I ain't never seen in the desert before.

He looks with suspicion at his bottle and throws it away.

CUT TO:

EXT. tHE EL MONTE DRIVE-IN THEATER - mOMENTS LATER

The drive-in is filled with people watching a movie. It is the 1958 film, "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman." They are showing a scene of a giant fake-looking hand reaching for a recoiling man. Nancy suddenly appears behind the screen, which only comes up to her waist.

NANCY ARCHER

(looking over at the many cars)

Harry!!

PEOPLE see her and SCREAM. Nancy leans against the screen to get a better look at the people and her weight collapses it. She then walks over the fallen screen pulverizing parts of it while the movie continues to play across her gigantic thighs. She walks on into the parking area. In a panic, scores of people abandon their cars and begin to run toward the central street of the town.

Suddenly two cars pull up. One is the police cruiser with Sheriff Denby and the other is a sedan with Drs. Cushing and Loeb, and Dr. Loeb's nurse. The four occupants exit their vehicles and quickly gather together looking up at Nancy as she approaches. The Sheriff, who has never seen Nancy, is stunned.

SHERIFF DENBY

My God!! Isn't that Mrs. Archer!?

DR. LOEB

(trying to be calming)

Yes, she has a hormone problem.

SHERIFF DENBY

You know about this!?

DR. CUSHING

Yes, we were trying to help her. But she isn't supposed to leave home.

SHERIFF DENBY

Well, who the hell could stop her?

Nancy sees them and stops, towering over them.

NANCY ARCHER

(looking wild and quite mad)

Where is my husband? Where's Harry!?

SHERIFF DENBY

(stunned)

Evening, Mrs. Archer. Don't worry, we'll find him for you.

NANCY ARCHER

Never mind, I know where he is. I'll find him myself.

DR. CUSHING

Nancy...Nancy, stop!

NANCY ARCHER

I'll stop when I find Harry. I'm just looking for a little closure, that's all.

DR. CUSHING

Nancy, don't do this!

NANCY ARCHER

I've tried, Dr. Cushing. I've really tried, and look what it's gotten me. Now I'm taking matters into my own hands!

Nancy turns and starts heading toward town, her footsteps BOOMING. SCREAMING CROWDS rush down the main street preceding her, and panic begins to spread throughout the town.

DR. LOEB

(to Dr. Cushing)

What will she do if she finds Harry?

DR. CUSHING

Ball him up and throw him away like a used tissue.

Nurse

(smiling)

Good!

SHERIFF DENBY

All right, everybody get into the squad car, were going to go get the National Guard and the State Police.

DR. LOEB

Why not just call them?

SHERIFF DENBY

The microwave is down. Only local calls are possible. My deputy is missing, too. I'm guessing Mrs. Archer has something to do with all of it.

DR. CUSHING

You go, sheriff, I'll stay and try to reason with her.

SHERIFF DENBY

She's obviously beyond reason, doctor...and we're all going, because if I tell them this story all by myself, they'll toss me in the loony bin and throw away the key!

CUT TO:

EXT. mAIN ROAD THROUGH TOWN - MOMENTS LATER

PEOPLE are SCREAMING and running every which way as Nancy slowly walks down the main street of town, her footsteps BOOMING. She towers above the 2 and 3-story buildings, and walks seemingly without concern for the people who scramble to get out of her way.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry!

Nancy turns a corner causing more PEOPLE to break and run. It seems as though the whole town is in the streets attempting to run away.

CUT TO:

INT. tHE MAYOR'S OFFICE - cONTINUOUS

Mr. Cobb, the mayor, and some councilmen are raising their glasses in a toast.

HAMILTON COBB

Gentlemen.

(We hear a phone RING)

Excuse me.

Mr. Cobb steps to the phone and answers it.

HAMILTON COBB

Hamilton Cobb...What?...Yes...Well No......That isn't...

(he looks out the window and sees Nancy approaching)

...possible.

(his eyes go wide)

CUT TO:

EXT. the street outside the mayor's office - cONTINUOUS

Mr. Cobb and the mayor exit the office at street level as Nancy approaches, her footsteps BOOMING.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry!

Mayor

(stunned; to Mr. Cobb)

H...Ham...Hamilton, isn't that your little girl?

Mr. Cobb steps out into the middle of the street. The mayor, still in shock, walks out into the street with him. Mr. Cobb holds up his hands.

HAMILTON COBB

Now Nancy, you're not supposed to leave to grounds. You know that!

Suddenly, A MAN carrying a rifle steps out of a nearby doorway and enters the street behind Nancy. He takes aim at Nancy and fires...BLAM! Nancy turns and sees him. Her look of rage sends terror through the man who throws his rifle away and begins to run. Nancy reaches for a parked car nearby and easily lifts it. She raises it over her head and then throws it at the man. The car lands just behind the running man with a great CRASH and then flips and rolls over the man, killing him. Nancy looks satisfied.

NANCY ARCHER

(looking around; not seeing her father or the mayor)

Anyone else want to try that!?

Nancy turns back and continues walking toward her father and the mayor, paying no attention to them at all. In a panic Mr. Cobb and the mayor try to run, but only succeed in colliding with each other. Mr. Cobb stumbles, but regains his feet and runs for cover under the awning of a building. We see a close view of the mayor who has fallen into the street and is lying on his back perpendicular to the roadway.

In an instant Nancy's gigantic foot comes down cross-wise over the mayor, covering him save for his arms, shoulders and head. The mayor instinctively places his hands on the side of Nancy's enormous foot as though to lift her off of him. We see a close up of the mayor's face as his eyes go wide and he screams.

We see his view, looking up at the soaring Nancy who is walking forward without noticing him. We see up the length of Nancy's fantastically towering body. She moves across the screen from one side to the other, putting her weight down on the mayor as she passes.

We return to the close-up of the mayor's face and arms, which are sticking out from under Nancy's gigantic foot. We hear the Mayor's scream turn to a horrible gurgle as blood and viscera erupt from his mouth. We see his eyes actually pop from their sockets and the side of his neck burst open to allow a further rush of blood and viscera. Nancy's enormous foot then steps off of the mayor and we see what's left; a two-dimensional bloody mash that used to be his body.

HAMILTON COBB

(wide-eyed with horror)

Mr. Mayor!!

NANCY ARCHER

Harry!!

Nancy begins to slow as she sees the beauty parlor where Honey works is just ahead. The lights in the parlor are on. Nancy walks up to it and goes down on one knee. She leans down and looks inside. She sees a MAN whose back is turned, but it looks like Harry. She stays on one knee, but raises her body up, makes a fist, and slams it down onto the roof of the parlor, exploding it inward with a thunderous BOOM.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry!

She reaches in and grabs the man and lifts him up through the shattered roof. She turns him around to face her.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry. Wait...you're not Harry.

Cosmetic salesman

(in shock and terror)

Oh my God!!

The man stares at Nancy's huge bulging breasts. He can't take his eyes off of them.

NANCY ARCHER

Do you know my husband? Where is he?

COSMETIC SALESMAN

(continuing to stare at her chest)

No, ma'am. No idea!

NANCY ARCHER

Hey...

(pointing to her eyes)

I'm up here! Not down there.

The man looks up at Nancy's face.

COSMETIC SALESMAN

Sorry.

But he can't help himself and immediately returns to gawking at Nancy's immense breasts.

NANCY ARCHER

(eyes narrowing)

Men.

Nancy gives her shoulders a slight shake from side to side; her huge breasts bobble about heavily. The man's eyes widen.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Do you like them? ...Do you want them?

COSMETIC SALESMAN

(trembling)

Oh God, yes.

NANCY ARCHER

Your wish is my command.

Using her free hand to make a pocket between her breasts, Nancy stuffs the struggling man deep into her cleavage.

COSMETIC SALESMAN

Wha...Wha...no! What are you doing!? Stop! ...Help! ...mmmufff.

Nancy pulls an empty hand from her cleavage. We see that the man is gone, swallowed up between her gigantic breasts.

NANCY ARCHER

(looking down at her chest)

Knock yourself out.

Nancy stands up to her full height.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

(to herself)

Where are you Harry?

(eyes narrowing)

Her apartment!

CUT TO:

INT. hONEY'S APARTMENT IN TOWN - mOMENTS LATER

Honey and Harry are humping on the floor. Harry is on top. There is a BOOMING sound growing ever louder.

NANCY ARCHER (O.S.)

Harry!

HARRY ARCHER

(almost to himself)

Nancy?

HONEY PARKER

(bolting up from Harry's embrace)

For a dead woman she sounds awfully healthy!

CUT TO:

EXT. the street that runs past honey's apartment - cONTINUOUS

People are screaming and running out ahead of Nancy's stride. They just barely get out of her way. We see a close up of Nancy's enormous cleavage as she walks. Her massive breasts heave and giggle with every step she takes. From within her undulating cleavage we hear the salesman’s MUFFLED CRIES, but cannot see him because he is so deeply buried.

Now we see a BOY, about 2 or 3 years old sitting in the street and crying. He is directly in Nancy's path and is watching her gigantic feet approach. He is too terrified to move. The boy looks up and we see his view of Nancy moving forward; towering above him. She appears to grow taller and more vertical as she is nearly upon him. We return to the street-level view of the boy in Nancy's path. He is still unable to move. Suddenly, a SCREAMING WOMAN dashes across our view and snatches up the boy, hauling him off screen. A second later, Nancy's huge foot tromps down heavily right where the boy had been. Nancy continues walking on.

NANCY ARCHER

Harry! I know you're with her!

CUT TO:

INT. hONEY'S APARTMENT IN TOWN - cONTINUOUS

HONEY PARKER

You better run for it, Harry. I don't think she's commin' here to make up.

Harry leaps up and madly gathers his clothes. As the BOOMING grows louder he struggles to get his pants on.

CUT TO:

EXT. the street that runs past honey's apartment - mOMENTS LATER

Harry exits Honey's apartment and makes a dash for his black Porsche. Nancy is approaching and sees him. As Harry races to his car, opens the door, and enters it, we see Nancy's huge feet approach. Nancy walks up to the car and bends down. She grabs the roof with one hand. From inside the car Harry sees her huge fingertips cover his windscreen. He is terrified. Then Nancy picks up the car one-handed with Harry inside. Harry screams and tries to hang on. Nancy holds the car before her eyes looking in at the terrified Harry. Then she opens the driver's door and turns the car on its side so that she can shake Harry out into the palm of her waiting hand. Harry falls from the car screaming into Nancy's hand. Nancy carefully places the car back on the street and then turns her attention to Harry. She holds him in her left hand in front of her face. Her expression is almost sadistic.

NANCY ARCHER

Miss me?

HARRY ARCHER

(badly frightened)

I don't suppose you want to hear my side of this?

NANCY ARCHER

Oh, sure I do!

(Nancy eyes the black Porsche.)

Let's just sit down and have a nice long chat about it.

Holding Harry in her hand, Nancy kneels down and turns to sit on the car. Looking up from ground level we see her massive, curvy rear come down on top of the car. As she slowly sits, the roof collapses and the safety-glass windows burst; all four tires explode.

HARRY ARCHER

My God! My car!!

With a sickening metallic GROAN the car begins to flatten. The HORN BLOWS briefly before stopping. Then Nancy wriggles about until the Porsche goes totally flat like it has been crushed by a hydraulic car-flatener.

NANCY ARCHER

(holding Harry up to her face)

You had better check the tire pressure, Harry. I think it's a bit low.

HARRY ARCHER

Why did you do that!?

Nancy stands up once again, reaching her full height, and holds Harry in front of her face.

NANCY ARCHER

How does it feel, Harry? How does it feel to watch something you love be destroyed? That's what you did to our marriage!

(Nancy looks toward Honey's apartment)

And all because of that home-wrecking bitch. She's the cause of all this!

Nancy heads for the apartment.

CUT TO:

INT. hONEY'S APARTMENT IN TOWN - cONTINUOUS

Honey has been watching from her window. She sees Nancy coming and rushes to her closet where she retrieves a double-barreled shotgun.

HONEY PARKER

(to herself)

He can't do anything right!

Nancy's giant face appears at the window. She sees Honey taking aim. Nancy pulls her head back just in time as the double blast blows out the window KA-BLOOM! Nancy smashes in the window frame KA-BASH and reaches in toward Honey. Nancy knocks the gun from her hands and then grabs her.

HONEY PARKER

Let go of me you fucking bitch!

CUT TO:

EXT. the street that runs past honey's apartment - cONTINUOUS

Nancy brings Honey outside into the night. She holds up both Harry and Honey, each in a different hand, and brings them near to each other. She appears to enjoy looking at them together.

NANCY ARCHER

Well, well, what a charming couple.

Honey claws at Nancy's hand with her nails, but to no effect.

HONEY PARKER

Put me down you fucking freak!!

HARRY ARCHER

(to Nancy)

Sweetie, please, nothing happened! She just had me for dinner so that I could explain that it was over, like I told you.

NANCY ARCHER

(to Honey)

Is that right? You just had him for dinner so he could tell you it was over?

HONEY PARKER

(angry and struggling)

What's it to you? He doesn't love you!

HARRY ARCHER

(soothingly)

Of course I love Nancy. I told you I did.

(to Nancy)

Really, babe, it's like I said, she just had me for dinner so I could say good-bye.

Nancy seems to calm down, but her eyes betray her madness.

NANCY ARCHER

I'm sorry, Harry. I'm sorry Honey. I don't know how I could have been so wrong.

Honey and Harry look at each other, unable to understand this turn of events.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Thank you for having Harry for dinner, Honey. Just to show you that there are no hard feelings, I will return the kindness and have you for dinner.

Suddenly Nancy tips back her head, opens her mouth wide, and raises Honey up above her parted lips.

HONEY PARKER

(screaming)

Harry, stop her!!

HARRY ARCHER

Nancy, don't kid around!

Nancy turns Honey head-downward. Then she lowers her slowly into her mouth.

HONEY PARKER

(screaming)

No!! Don't!!

Harry watches in wide-eyed horror as Nancy lets go of Honey. We see that Nancy keeps her head tipped as Honey slips into her gigantic mouth, leaving only Honey's kicking legs visible. We hear Honey's SCREAMS.

HARRY ARCHER

My God, Nancy!! No!!!

Nancy opens her mouth wider and uses her tongue to curl between Honey's legs and pull her in. Then Nancy closes her mouth and Honey's SCREAMS become MUFFLED. Harry looks at Nancy's throat in horror as he sees and HEARS Nancy swallow. Nancy lowers her head to face Harry. She opens her mouth wide to show him that Honey is no longer there.

NANCY ARCHER

All gone.

HARRY ARCHER

You're insane!!! My God!! What did you just do!!?

NANCY ARCHER

Better be careful how you talk to me, Harry, unless you want to join her...Maybe you still want to be with her. Do you, Harry?

Nancy brings Harry close to her mouth and CLICKS her giant teeth together right in front of him.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Can you hear her, Harry? She's calling you.

Nancy opens her mouth wide in front of Harry's face and gives out a great, deep BELCH. Nancy laughs and licks her lips sensually as she brings Harry ever closer to her mouth.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

You want to go join her, don't you Harry?

HARRY ARCHER

No!!!! No!!! Don't eat me!!! Please Nancy!!

NANCY ARCHER

No? Don't you want to be with her anymore?

Nancy smiles sadistically at Harry and then slowly lowers him until he is directly in front of her bare stomach.

NANCY ARCHER

She's in there, Harry. I can feel her right now. She's struggling... Imagine the horror, Harry... Imagine the horror of being digested alive!

(laughing)

Harry covers his ears to block the sound of Nancy's laughter. As Nancy continues to speak she undulates her abdomen with the skill of a belly dancer. Harry stares in horror at her rolling tummy.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Digested alive!!!

Harry trembles violently and struggles to free himself from Nancy's grip.

HARRY ARCHER

(screaming)

Oh my God!!! You're insane!!!

Nancy stops undulating her stomach and gives it a little pat with her hand.

NANCY ARCHER

It's what she deserves, Harry.

HARRY ARCHER

Nobody deserves that!! Jesus, God!!

Nancy brings Harry back up to her face.

NANCY ARCHER

I'm sorry that she didn't leave you a little memento of her love, Harry. But maybe you can retrieve a lock of her hair in a couple of days...if you want to go digging for it.

(laughs)

Harry closes his eyes and looks away.

HARRY

Uch!

We hear SIRENS approaching. Nancy turns to look down toward the end of the street. Two State Police cars have taken up position there.

NANCY ARCHER

Looks like a good time for us to be leaving town, Harry.

Nancy walks a few blocks, her steps BOOMING, until she reaches the edge of town. Harry is terrified and looks around for any help that might be coming. At the edge of town Nancy leaves the road and starts to walk out into the desert.

HARRY ARCHER

(terrified)

Where are you talking me?

NANCY ARCHER

Let's go out into the desert, Harry. Out under the stars where we can make love.

HARRY ARCHER

Make love?

Nancy continues to walk as she speaks to him, her footsteps BOOMING.

NANCY ARCHER

Yes, Harry. I offered myself to you before, but you chose her instead. So now we will make love my way, although I'm afraid it will be a bit one-sided.

HARRY ARCHER

What do you mean, one-sided?

Nancy stops and holds Harry close to her face. She is stunning in the moonlight. Harry watches her in fear.

NANCY ARCHER

(sensuously)

I'm putting you in, Harry...no wet suit, no flashlight, just you...headfirst...all the way in... And I am never letting you out! It's what you deserve.

Harry looks down at Nancy's gigantic bikini-clad crotch.

HARRY ARCHER

Oh God! Oh God no, Nancy. Please don't do that!

NANCY ARCHER

It's no use, Harry, I've made up my mind.

Nancy walks a few more steps and suddenly looks annoyed. She stops and looks down at her immense breasts.

NANCY ARCHER

Oh.....I forgot all about him.

Harry watches as Nancy reaches deep into her massive cleavage and comes up with a man who appears to be dead.

HARRY ARCHER

(stunned)

Who's that!!!?

NANCY ARCHER

A man from the beauty parlor. I thought he was you. He just wanted to play with me, so I let him. I forgot he was in there during all the confusion.

Nancy turns the dead man from side to side watching his head flop about.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

I guess he suffocated. Oh well...

Nancy hurls the man's dead body out into the darkness. We hear it THUD some distance off.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

That's probably what will happen to you, Harry....suffocation.

Harry is becoming dizzy with terror.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

You don't look at all well, Harry. Is all this talk about your fate upsetting you...Well, when I was upset and feeling sick, you poured it on, remember?

HARRY ARCHER

(gasping)

I'm sorry.

NANCY ARCHER

Sorry? I don't think that's going to cut it, Harry. Turn-about is fair play. So now it's your turn to listen.

HARRY ARCHER

(gasping and dizzy)

Please, no more.

NANCY ARCHER

Once you're inside me, Harry, I'll close my legs and you'll be trapped, trapped with no hope of escape. Trapped in the steamy heat, in the darkness of a thousand midnights. And I'll tighten down, Harry. I'll get you in a straight-jacket of moist hot flesh that's so tight you won't even be able to wiggle.

HARRY ARCHER

(whimpering)

Mercy. Please.

NANCY ARCHER

And then I'm going to think, Harry...think about other men. Big sexy men. I'm going to get myself all hot with thoughts of them...And when I do that, Harry, I'll drown you.

HARRY ARCHER

(almost crying)

Oh God, Nancy, please. You can't do this to me.

NANCY ARCHER

Trust me, Harry. It won't take long for you to die in there....I'll make sure of that. And it will all be happening because I'll be dreaming of other men. Other men, Harry! Then, and only then, you'll know how you've made me feel.

Nancy turns toward the desert.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

(to herself)

What a beautiful night!

Harry continues to whimper. Nancy begins walking again, deeper into the desert, carrying Harry in her hand, her footsteps BOOMING.

cUT TO:

EXT. the street outside the mayor's office - mOMENTS LATER

There is a great deal of commotion. Emergency vehicles have arrived and state police cars. Blankets are covering what is left of the mayor's body. Mr. Cobb is there, his hair is mussed and he is looking off into the distance with a thousand-yard stare.

State policeman #1

(to Mr. Cobb)

I understand, sir, that she is your daughter?

Cobb stares off into the desert and just nods.

State policeman #2

(joining them)

If I hadn't seen her with my own eyes...

STATE POLICEMAN #1

Well, the National Guard will be here soon. They'll be able to handle her. In the meantime we had better see about commandeering some off-road vehicles and going after the husband. He might still be alive.

The second policeman nods.

CUT TO:

EXT. tHE DESERT - nIGHT

Nancy is walking with BOOMING footsteps when she suddenly encounters an obstacle. We see that she has come across high-tension wires running for miles in either direction. The metal towers supporting them look large and have signs warning of danger.

NANCY ARCHER

(coming to a stop)

Well, I suppose this is as good a place as any.

Nancy lays Harry down onto the ground at her feet. She stands up to her full height and towers over him. Harry is lying weak and spiritless. He sits up and looks around. He sees nothing but flat desert in all directions.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

(noticing Harry looking about)

No point trying to run, Harry. You wouldn't get very far. Charlie Spooner tried to run from me and I stepped on him. Did I tell you that?

Harry, looking down, just shakes his head.

HARRY

No.

NANCY ARCHER

Well, I did. I crushed him, Harry. He just went "squish" under my foot like he was nothing but a big bug.

(laughing)

I guess I really am very heavy compared with you little people. So don't run, Harry, or it will be this...

Nancy places her immense toes on the ground in front of Harry and grinds them back and forth as though she were putting out a cigarette barefoot. Harry begins to whimper.

NANCY ARCHER

But I don't want to do it that way, Harry....You know the end I have planned for you.

HARRY ARCHER

Please, baby. Don't do this.

Harry looks up at Nancy. We see his view. She is gigantically tall.

NANCY ARCHER

Are you ready for me, Harry?

We continue to see the view looking up as Nancy moves into position over Harry and takes a wide stance. She places her hands on her hips and grins down at Harry, thrusting her bikini-clad crotch forward to emphasize it.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

Because I'm all ready for you.

Harry looks up at Nancy and feels totally helpless. He trembles and slowly shakes his head.

HARRY

(almost whispering)

Please.

We continue looking up at Nancy as she hooks her thumbs into the sides of her bikini bottom. She starts to move as though she is going to wriggle out of it. Suddenly we hear the SOUND OF HELICOPTER BLADES in the distance. Nancy stops what she is doing and looks. Harry turns to look, excited that he might be saved. We see approaching through the desert night two Apache army helicopters with bright lights illuminating what is ahead of them. In each Apache are two airmen, a pilot and a weapons officer (FOUR AIRMEN altogether). Nancy turns to face the two choppers.

Chopper pilot #1

(seeing Nancy blocked by the high-tension wires)

All right, big woman, now you got nowhere to go.

Chopper pilot #2

(turning on his P. A. System)

That's far enough, ma'am! Just step away from the hostage and keep your hands up so we can see them!

Nancy stares down the helicopters as their beams of light dance about her gigantic body.

Weapons officer #2

Doesn't seem right firing a missile at a woman.

CHOPPER PILOT #2

Don't think of her as a woman, think of her as a target. That's what I always do.

Two off-road vehicles come bouncing along the desert and pull up near to the action. Sheriff Denby, Mr. Cobb, Dr. Cushing, Dr. Loeb and Dr. Loeb's nurse get out of the vehicles along with a number of STATE POLICEMEN and a couple of REPORTERS with flash cameras.

SHERIFF DENBY

(speaking to the choppers via a walkie-talkie)

Hold your fire unless I give the signal!

(to Mr. Cobb)

Talk to her.

HAMILTON COBB

Me!?

SHERIFF DENBY

You're her father, talk to her!

The sheriff gets a megaphone out of the vehicle so Mr. Cobb can speak to Nancy over the sounds of the choppers.

HAMILTON COBB

(using the megaphone)

Now, Nancy, I think you've made your point. You can stop now...You're a sick woman, Nancy. You need medical help...the doctors are here...

NANCY ARCHER

(glowering)

How dare you talk to me that way!? You don't care about me. You never cared about me! You just need my name on some papers so you can hide more money!

HAMILTON COBB

Nancy!

NANCY ARCHER

Nobody loves me! Nobody cares!

Dr. LOEB

(stepping forward and taking the bullhorn from Mr. Cobb)

Now Nancy, we all care. And I have a place where we can provide you with peace, quiet and security. Now why don't you just come with us?

One of the reporters has moved in close to Nancy and takes a flash picture of her. She squints at the flash. Then he takes another.

NANCY ARCHER

Stop it!!

The reporter takes another flash picture.

NANCY ARCHER (CONT'D)

(screaming)

Stop!! Why won't you all stop!!?

The reporter is excited by her rage and moves in closer to rapidly take flash pictures one after another. Nancy seems to writhe in all the lights, both from the choppers and the flash camera. Suddenly Nancy turns on the reporter. He looks up in terror and tries to run, but Nancy easily closes on him.

DR. CUSHING

(screaming)

Nancy! No!!

In an instant the reporter is knocked to the ground by Nancy. Before he can rise she tramples on him heavily with both feet. He is immediately splattered.

SHERIFF DENBY

(into his walkie-talkie)

Fire!!

The State Police and Sheriff Denby begin firing their pistols and both choppers open fire with cannons and rockets. The air around Nancy is streaked with tracers and rocket flame. Everyone watches in horror as Nancy is hit again and again. She staggers and is driven back by the rocket impacts and falls onto the high-tension wires. We can hear the SIZZLE and CRACKLE of the electricity coursing through her writhing body and we see sparks spew outward in great showers that rain down upon the scrambling people. Finally the sounds and lights stop and Nancy slumps off of the wires, dropping to her knees. She looks down at Harry.

NANCY ARCHER

(gasping and badly wounded)

Harry.

Harry looks up and sees Nancy start to fall toward him. He realizes that he is in the way of her enormous chest. He screams. We see Nancy fall to the ground and watch Harry vanish under one of her huge breasts as it pancakes on top of him. We hear his body CRUNCH. Dust settles around Nancy. She is dead.

Mouths agape, the others approach the dead giantess. Suddenly, the flying saucer appears. Everyone moves back and stares in awe. A great blue light comes out of the saucer and shines on the area about Nancy. Suddenly another GIANT WOMAN materializes. She is a black woman, stunning in her appearance. She is wearing a sexy space dress like something out of a 1950s sci-fi magazine, even down to her stiletto-heeled space-boots. She is easily Nancy's size, perhaps a bit taller. She looks over the crowd with a powerful and dominant expression. They all begin to move back.

CHOPPER PILOT #2

Fire!

The helicopter fires a missile, but it activates a force field surrounding the blue light and explodes harmlessly. The alien giantess takes a weapon from upon her hip and ZAPS the chopper, which explodes with a fiery KA-BOOM. It immediately crashes into the ground in flames.

CHOPPER PILOT #1

Let's get out of here!!

The pilot pulls the chopper yolk and the other Apache banks off and flies away. The alien giantess next turns to Nancy and appears to treat her with a glowing green stick. Nancy's wounds suddenly heal and she opens her eyes. Nancy stands slowly, helped to her feet by the alien giantess. Nancy smiles at the alien. The alien then whispers in Nancy's ear and Nancy laughs and nods. Both women look up at the saucer and then are dematerialized up to the ship. The saucer slowly rises and then sails away with them, heading toward the stars.

Everyone watches the saucer rise high into the night sky. They then slowly approach the depression in the earth made by Nancy's breasts. Harry's smashed body is lying in one of the depressions.

SHERIFF DENBY

Well, Mrs. Archer finally got even with her husband.

Others nod.

DR. LOEB

(to Dr. Cushing while looking up)

Do you think she'll be back?

DR. CUSHING

(thoughtfully; also looking up)

I think she's gone to be with her own kind now. But there is no way to know if, or when, she will ever return.

The camera pans upward and we see a small dot of light, like a satellite, moving through the sky off-screen in a reverse of the opening scene.

The end?
